Does anyone know what Platinum Edition DVDs are coming out in years to come (2005, 2006, 2007 etc.)? Especially CINDERELLA and THE LITTLE MERMAID. I know that LM came out on DVD once but I bought the video. It would be really helpful.

Since we already know the next two after Aladdin, when Aladdin is released will the next platinum DVD be announced right after? so we'll know it its Little Mermaid or changed to Jungle Book soon(please don't!)

March 2005 is definitely Bambi, October 2005 is definitely Cinderella. That won't be changed.

I meant would the March 2006 DVD be announced soon after Aladdin's release since we've know the 2 being released after Aladdin for ages.

Honestly I dont think we will know antill maybe after Bambi is realsed on DVD becasue soon following that one the only one left would be Cinderella. So in other words after the Aladdin DVD they are going to push Bambi and Cinderella a lot so it will stil be a kind of early to know and be able tp promoe the next 2.

The Little Mermaid could come out Oct 2006 and The Jungle Book could come out March 2006 this is my prediction but I really see the point of making The Little Mermaid release date in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

If I was Disney, I would save The Little Mermaid as the last Platinum to release. It would make sense that the Platinum Line starts with the one that started it all and ends with the one that started it all again. Besides, The Little Mermaid is perhaps the most loved Disney Masterpiece, even more so than Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, and if they release it early, then interest in the Platinum Line will be vastly diminished. I mean Jungle Book, Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmatians, etc. are good, but they don't compare to the breadth and scope of the Little Mermaid.
Here is my prediction for the release schedule:
Aladdin Fall 2004
Bambi Spring 2005
Cinderella Fall 2005
101 Dalmatians Spring 2006
Lady And the Tramp Fall 2006
Jungle Book Spring 2007
The Little Mermaid Fall 2007
Disney will save the bigger Platinums titles (Cinderella, Lady And the Tramp, The Little Mermaid) for the Fall release since it will coincide with the Thanksgiving/Christmas shopping period and release the lesser ones (Bambi, 101 Dalmatians, and Jungle Book) during Spring because they do not expect to hit sales number like the others.
Also between these releases, I think Peter Pan, Pinochio, and Fantasia would be released for 3 months period as masterpieces like Sleeping Beauty, but they won't ever be released as Platinum Line. I think Peter Pan will be the first one to be released, followed by Pinochio, and then finally Fantasia.
