Then I assume you also saw the pics from the Sweet Heart event at Disneyland of Snow White in her peasant costume? I think it got a ton of good attention so maybe we'll start seeing the princesses in some of their other costumes.

Don't worry, we're all princess fanboys here! lol

Yes, while it doesn’t quite match the dress in the film, I love what they were trying to do. Just so thrilled to see Snow White in another costume. And the Prince is a real cutie! The wishing well prop looks great too! I wish I had been there.

I also saw a picture of Maleficent’s goons!
I’ve never seen them in the parks before!

Are Ariel, Belle, Anna and Elsa the only princesses to regularly have multiple outfits in the parks?

Actually, I'm reminded of a fun fact that I forget if I've shared or learned from here- apparently the reason Belle wears her blue "peasant" dress at Cinderella's Royal Table in her castle at Magic Kingdom is because her traditional golden gown is too wide to fit into the doors of the restaurant.

I like that dress in the Rapunzel concept art as well.

The only time I like Aurora is when she's in the blue dress, she is aesthetically pleasing even if she's a total nothing of a character. Unfortunately, because the Disney Princess line made Cinderella's dress blue even though it's not, they always have to put Aurora in the pink dress to make her stand apart from her because of it.

I don't like Snow White's dress either. I actually think her rags at the beginning are prettier for some reason, must be the colors or something, I'm not sure why. I like the Prince's design much better than any of hers.

That would have been fun, imo, and a nice change from always being in her ball gown. It would even be extra fabulous for her to appear now and then in her pink gown. She could always say the mice and birds made her another one! Just for a little variety and so we could see her with her hair down from time to time.

I am SUCH a Princess fanboy!!!
Ha, I am a huge princess fanboy too. Also, did you know the family chateau was going to have Cinderella in her pink dress, then the stepsisters destroy it, then the Fairy Godmother comes and with magic and the girl spinning three times, she is in her ball gown and ready to greet guests?

The black & white drawing or the color painting?

I like Snow White's rag dress more than her princess one, too.

I was so excited by the original plans for new Fantasyland.... and so disappointed with what we got. I would have loved the château and woodcutter’s cottage. You can never have enough Cinderella, Aurora or Snow White in the parks!

Enchanted Tales was a one and done for me. I love Maurice’s cottage but hate the retelling of the story with all the brats’ participation. The Mine Train is cute but not worth the wait. And Ariel’s Journey is a letdown from what could have been as a proper dark ride with some imagination. My boyfriend and I only go on it if there’s no line... and there often is. We’ve eaten at Be Our Guest 3 times and we prefer to eat elsewhere.

For me, the New Fantasyland expansion is alright, but if you're privy to the original plans... what we have now is disappointing. I still hold out some hope that we'll see some of ideas in some shape or form at some park. They were such a good idea and good ideas don't really die.

I did not see the minions carolinakid, but I probably would've tackled a few kids to get a picture. I've never seen Maleficent as a Meet & Greet, so if Disney had a regularly scheduled one at WDW, I would die happy!

I don't know what you are all lamenting... the original plan was almost all just character meet-n-greets, no rides.
But yes, the expansion is a disappointment, regardless.

But that is not why I came into this thread:

I was watching a segment of the movie on Disney+... and I noticed that the choir is missing from the scene where Merryweather gives her gift!!! (until the lyrics kick in)
I compared it to my (Platinum) blu ray.... the choir is there, but kinda faint (more audible in the mono track).

Now, if you watch the scene on Disney+, switch to Spanish midway, and you will notice a drastic difference... (also portuguese, but not quite as drastic).

For those who have the Signature Edition... is the choir there?

Disney: WHAT THE....????

If Sleeping Beauty was made in 2023:

(Just kidding. We all know it would be CG and called Awakened or something.)

It would be called After, not Awakened. Thankfully, Disney came to their senses and just made The Princess instead. :P

I'm happy to say I was blissfully unaware of either's existence... until today. The Princess looks like it doesn't take itself seriously and could be fun, though.

I love that doll! Reminds me of some concepts they had come up with as alternate ideas for her princess dress, and I love the pink and bluish purple. Is it super expensive? Is it available yet?
