Personally, I would put Limited Edition closer to Gold Collection. The movies are great, but the AV quality is lacking, and there are no bonus features. Once the Platinum line is complete, they will be obsolete.

But those are Limited Issue, not Limited Edition. I'm not sure what I was thinking of including LE (I suppose anything that's in demand for being rare), but it definitely wasn't those first forays into the medium.

On topic, I'm pretty sure this question is addressed in the stickies atop each forum. It really is a good idea to read that at least once.

Would be cooler if instead of using DVD lines, we could use regular adjectives to describe the poster:

Lurker: 0
Newbie: 5
Member: 50
I'm Still Here!: 200
Super Genius: 500 (because it works, lol)
Way Cool Poster: 550
Kickass Poster: 1000
Post Whore: 2000
I Talk Too Much: 5000

As for the Limited Issue vs. Limited Edition, we could always change Limited Edition to Slipcover Edition, since Slipcovers themselves are limited editions. As much as I hate the pieces of cardboard, I'm sure others would get a kick out of actually *gasp* BEING a slipcover!!! Maybe Alan would come back at that thought!!!

I'd never dare post anything like that or Luke might bash me to pieces. LOL!

By the way, why is there "Super Genius"? I'm curious about what the meaning is behind it.

I'm still going to be "Special Edition" for a while yet, especially since I'm not a super poster, who posts tons of posts everyday. Humph...

On the intro to A Bug's Life Collector's Edition, Andrew Stanton made a comment that it should be called the Super Genius Edition. There may have been a mention in the insert booklet as well. It's more of a fun inside joke than anything else. There's a reason it only lasts for 50 posts.

I propose that the levels be renamed after Disney's home-made teen stars:

0 - AJ
5 - Aly
50 - Christy Carlson Romano
200 - The Cheetah Girls
500 - Ashley Tisdale
550 - Raven
1000 - Annette
2000 - Hilary Duff
5000 - Lindsay Lohan

But that's exactly why it should be "Man in the forest" for 0 posts, because you never see man, and you never see the posts of a 0 poster!

 More like in order of lowest to highest profile. And come on, you can't seriously put Hilary Duff below The Cheetah Girls!

Any chance Super Genius could reappear for like 2750 to 3000. I really miss being a super genius.

I always assumed that the "super genius" was Pixar's nod to director Chuck Jones. :D

Am I making this up or did this used to be spelled as "Sup-ah Genius" or something like that? :?

How about...

0 - Disney's America
5 - Hong Kong Disneyland
25 - Walt Disney Studios Paris
50 - Tokyo Disney Sea
100 - Disney's California Adventure
150 - Disney's Animal Kingdom
300 - Disneyland Paris
400 - Disney Studios
500 - Tokyo Disneyland
1000 - Epcot
2000 - Magic Kingdom
5000 - Disneyland

Then again, the ones we have now make sense since this is the Ultimate Guide to Disney DVD's forums.
