Is there already any news on upcoming R2 UK Treasure titles :?: ... and will they be "tin-cased" ...?

Next wednesday there will be 2 new Treasures in stores in Holland. Mickey Mouse in Living Colors 2 and Chronological Donald. They won't be tin-cased. :(

And what's worse: Runaway Brain will be missing from the R2 Mickey Mouse in Living Colour 2! :x

Says who?

There's an INTRO RUNAWAY BRAIN passed by the BBFC. Would be rather silly to include the intro if they weren't going to include the film that goes with it.

well, it's not unknown for stuff passed by the BBFC to not end up on the final disc.

The (Australian) R4 edition goes on sale next week, and due to the fact that it's usually based on the R2 edition, we should know by the end of next week whether we did or did not get "Runaway Brain"

Says I.
I have the 2nd DVD of the German version in my DVD player and there are only Mickey's Christmas Carol and The Prince and The Pauper on it.

There is a big discussion about this going on in a German forum:
http://www.comicforum.de/comicforum/sho ... hp?t=65092

There you can even find a reply from Buena Vista Germany / www.movie.de to an enraged viewer who wants to exchange his DVD, thinking it was a mistake:
Lieber Herr XXX,

And here the translation (I hope you understand it )
on the DVD "Mickey Mouse in Living Colour 2" the cartoon "Micky Monstermaus aka Runaway Brain" is not included indeed. This is no production error, however.

We can only repeat here that the decision concerning the range of the DVD and - coherently with it - the extras is made European-wide, as a rule. Buena Vista Home Entertainment Germany has only limited influence on these decisions as the published DVDs follow the available European masters.

The range of the extras of a DVD again is subject to different criteria, which can be of different nature from title to title. There can be specific market or technical conditions or temporal specifications playing a role in the process. According to these specifications our general aim is to create a DVD corresponding to the request of the German market as well as to a consumer-friendly price structure and to the premise of offering an optimum product for the optimum price.

Since with " Mickey Mouse in Living Colour 2” there is no production error present, there is also no exchange possible.

We hope to have helped you with this reply.

Yours sincerely,
Your team movie.de

Or if they aren't lying they're cowardly hiding behind the "request of the German market"...
