Coming Soon has just posted the teaser trailer for Batman Begins!!!! Check it out here: http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=5020

That was .... okay, i guess. Not that exciting to me, though I've never been much of a "batman fan". I had read a "transcript" of this trailer already at AICN so it's not all that new to me. Wonder why Warner couldn't of just showed it at Comic-Con; it'd of made of lot of people happier!

I'm a huge Batman fan, and this has me slightly interested, at best. The trailer doesn't offer much new, except the promise that this is really going to break away from the previous Batman films, which I guess we already knew, anyways. I guess I'll wait and see what the trailer holds in store.

Seems to be darker and more philosophical. So more like "Spider-man" and less like the Burton and Schumacher films. But that's just a teaser trailer.

I'm very excited about this and I like the tone of the trailer. This looks like it could be the darkest of the Batman films.

Okay confession to make, now I love the first Batman film. I think it's a terrific film. And I thought Batman Returns was a good film, but was a little too bizzare at times(plus I'm not a fan of the Penguin).

So now we can to the Joel Schumacher contributions of the Batman films. In no way shape or form do they even come close to the first two. But too be honest they aren't that bad. Yes I hate Robin(especially in Batman and Robin) and they get to be pretty hokey a lot. But I think these films are fun. They're not perfect but if they're on tv I'll give them a look

Batman 10/10
Batman Returns 8/10
Batman Forever 6/10
Batman and Robin 6/10

That teaser didn't do much for me, possibly because they were purposely avoiding it from feeling like a Batman trailer. Since it's just a teaser, I expect to be impressed with the full trailer (although it didn't do much for me, I still find the idea of exploring Bruce Wayne's life and mind in a dark and twisted way rather fascinating). My ratings for the Batman films:

Batman: ***1/2
Batman Returns: ***1/2 (my favorite in the series)
Batman Forever: **1/2
Batman and Robin: **

I can't wait to own the SE's of the first two next year, which WB confirmed are coming to coincide with the new film.

Well, this movie is supposed to stay more true to the comics which are canon. I don't know if that is a good thing until I see the movie, and I am hoping it will be better than Spiderman. It's funny though, when Tim Burton was asked if his 2 movies of Batman were true to the Batman Universe, he replied he never read a Batman comic in his life. I do though, admire his work. And no, I am not a "Bat-Geek"...
