I would like to know which Disney sequel to an animated classic you think is the best one? Which do you think is the worst one?
My choices are:
Best: Tie, Return of Jafar & 101 Dalmations 2
Worst: By far, Cinderella 2: Dreams Explode

Another one? There are a thousand topics about sequels in this forum, why don't you use the search section and visit those instead of getting to bashing the sequels again? (this will turn into one, I'm sure). I'm not meaning to be rude here, but I'm getting pretty sick of these sequel topics...

Jens, I'm not trying to bash sequels, I actually like most of them, I just want to find out which are people favorites and least favorites since nobody has really come out and said that (at least as far as I know) I don't think you really got my point.

Believe me, I got your point! And I'm not saying you are bashing sequels, I'm saying this has a big chance of turning INTO a topic with a lot of sequel bashing... And really, I think I know everyone's opinion from the other topics about sequels, they would just be repeating themselves...

Well I haven't seen too many of them. And a couple of the DTVs that I have seen aren't 'proper sequels.'

Best: The Lion King 1 ½, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
Worst: Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Magical World

I've missed most of the other supposedly really bad ones, and I'm not in any hurry to catch them.

I've seen a good amount of them, though not nearly all. Of those I've seen:

Best: Return of Jafar, Beauty and the Beast 2: The Enchanted Christmas, Lady and the Tramp II, Lion King 1.5, Little Mermaid II, Jungle Book II

Worst: Cinderella II, by far

Best: Tigger Movie, Piglets Big Movie, Peter Pan 2, Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin, Pocahontas II: Journey to A New World, The Rescuers Down Under, The Hunchback of Norte Dame II, Lady and the Tramp 2, Jungle Book 2, 101 Dalmations, The Little Mermaid 2, The Lion King 2, The Lion King 1 1/2, Aladdin 2: Return of Jafar and Aladdin 3: The King of Theives


Worst: Cinderella 2, Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Magical World and Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas

I've only seen a few, but if Return of Jafar made it onto some people's "best" lists, then I know why I've seen three or four.

My favorite is Return of Jafar...but I like all of the sequels...granted, I didn't finish watching Cinderella II because I didn't like it, I think it just appeals to a younger audience.

Best Sequels: Return of Jafar, The King of Thieves, Return to Neverland, The Rescuers Down Under, The Lion King 1&1/2

WORST SEQUELS: Lady and the Tramp 2, Cinderella 2, Beauty and the Beast sequels.

The Rescuers Down Under
Aladdin and the King of Thieves
The Lion King 1 1/2
The Lion King II: Simba's Pride

Mediocre:
Peter Pan II: Return to Neverland
Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure
The Jungle Book II
The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea
Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas

Worst:
Cinderella II: Dreams Come True
The Return of Jafar
Pocahontas II: Journey to A New World
The Hunchback of Notre Dame II

If you count The Tigger Movie and Piglet's Big Movie as sequels (though I really consider them to be spin-offs), then I rank those with the better ones, as well. It's amazing how many sequels I've seen. The only one I have yet to see is Patch's London Adventure, which I hear is pretty decent.

Best: Peter Pan 2 and Lion King 1/2

Worst:.....almost every single other one.

I can't type........anymore.......12:30 AM......need sleep....want to watch.....case closed....

umm.. I think the best sequals I've seen so far are Lion King 3 (or 1½), Piglet's Big Movie and the Tigger Movie

Worst sequals I have seen are Cinderella II and Peter Pan 2

Disclaimer: Loomis supports the concept of sequels, and believes all of god's DVDs are special in their own shiny way.

Having said that:

Best (or more appropriately, "My Faves"): 'Lady & the Tramp II', 'Lion King 1.5' and 'Stitch! The Movie' and I'm not sure if it technically counts but 'Atlantis: Milo's Return' is a great lead-in to what would have been an excellent series.

Worst (or more appropriately, "The Ones I Didn't Like"): Belle's Magical World; Cinderella II

Okay in my opinion .....

The Best Sequals I have seen are : Lion King 2 : Simba's Pride, Stitch the movie, Peter Pan Return to Neverland,Beauty and the Beast Enchated Christmas.

Now I dont like the word worst sequals so i'll say let downs for me: The Little Mermaid 2, Cinderella 2 Dreams come true, Pochantoas 2 Journey to a New world.

But thats just me .

Best: Pocahontas II
Worst: Cinderella II...what a travesty.

Best: Return of Jafar

Worst: Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Magical World (this cheapquel makes Cinderella 2 look like Casablanca).
