Quick Question on Beauty and the Beast package

I need someone's quick help. I just bought a copy of Beauty and the Beast Platinum edition on ebay. It arrived without an insert booklet. The guy claims it doesn't come with one. I have other Platinum and Special Editions and they each have a beautiful foldout booklet, so I can't believe him. Can someone verify this for me so I have some proof? Thanks!

Also, is the booklet cool enough (like Snow White's) that it warrants getting another copy to replace the one I just bought?

it should have came with one. the guy is most likely lieing if he says that it doesnt come with one unless he bought that movie from someone else who didnt put in the booklet. i see no reason why there wouldn't be a booklet for the DVD.

It most defintley does come with a booklet I also purchased my Beauty and The Beast From E-bay but it came with a booklet. Unless he really did purchase the movie and it didnt come with one it was the companies fault I wonder if you could call Disney DVD number and they might be able to help you out...

Booklet ?

Again, you guys come through for me.

I bet he either lost it or bought it from someone else who lost it. What gets me is that he is "positive" it didn't come with one and he claims that his friend's copy didn't come with one either. What a jerk. I guess that's my come uppance for being cheap and buying things on ebay! :(

Oh, can I ask again whether the booklet is worth me buying a replacement copy? If it is pretty basic and just repeats what's on the outer gatefold box, I can do without. But if it is big and chock full of cool stuff like Snow White, let me know. Merci beaucoup!

The booklet is nice but less than the Snow White Platinum one, ans it's smaller.
I don"t think it derserves that you buy a new copy justt for it. Now, it depends on how crazy 'bout Disney & DVD you are :D

I personally like the booklet that came with the DVD its helps a lot in the navigation of the 2nd DVD dont get me wrong it is organized but I like to make sure I watch every thing I possibly can. Also it is a realy nice one and as Jordan said is just depends on how crazy you are about the movies and thier apperance personally I kow it would drive me crazy but thats just me :) .

Yes, it's a very nice booklet, IMHO. But there's no need to seek out another copy just for the insert booklet.

Are you sure this is a real nonbootleged copy? If so, just call Disney's customer service people (1-800-72-DISNEY) and they should be able to supply you with either the booklet or the full set by mail for little or no cost to you. The only thing is since it's been out of print for a while they might have run out of copies, but it's definately worth a try.

Good luck! :)

Gracias

Thanks, everyone. And thank you Jake for the info. I'll give them a call. I'm not really obsessed with having it, but if I can get it for a buck or two, I'd be stoked.

I just called and asked for one the promotional inserts for Treasure Planet. She told me she could send me the current rebate pack for free, but she couldn't guarantee that that was what was included with the Treasure Planet printing.

I called Disney and was pleasantly suprised. After hitting a few buttons in the menu, I pressed "0" to get a customer service person. Expecting to wait for 20 minutes, I was shocked when someone answered after one ring! She was very nice and said she would send me the insert, but would have to go digging to see if they still have a copy (since it is OOP). Anyways, I'll let you guys know if I get the "real" insert or if she just sends me some cheap-o chapter index. If I get the real one, YAY Disney customer service!

Absolutely. They might charge you like a dollar or two, max, but they might just give it to you for free, ya never know!
