Server Problems?

Why do I sometimes have to hit refresh like 4 or 5 times before opening a thread or viewing a topic? I get "Page Cannot Be Displayed" windows, in fact, I'm retyping this thread because it happened 2 seconds ago when I first attempted to post this. Is anyone else having problems with this?

I know this is more of a "Feedback" issue, but I find I am having the exact same problem on occasions.

I also get a 'can't post message so soon after last message' message. And so I go to repost and find I have posted twice.
Strange.

Here's what I consistently get (had to refresh the page 4 times just now):

The page cannot be displayed

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please try the following:

Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

To check your connection settings, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click Settings. The settings should match those provided by your local area network (LAN) administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
If your Network Administrator has enabled it, Microsoft Windows can examine your network and automatically discover network connection settings.
If you would like Windows to try and discover them,
click Detect Network Settings
Some sites require 128-bit connection security. Click the Help menu and then click About Internet Explorer to determine what strength security you have installed.
If you are trying to reach a secure site, make sure your Security settings can support it. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0.
Click the Back button to try another link.

Guys, there are several threads on this topic in the Feedback Forum here, which is where I'll move this:

http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=2

I've looked into the matter again and again, sending countless e-mails, but my host has provided little help. Having already put a good deal of money into them, which covers me through early next year, I can't think of anything else, beyond getting a new host, which will cost even more money.

I'm really sorry about this crap - it really, really sucks, I know. If you can recommend a new host or anything that could resolve this, I'd be most appreciative.

Do check out the forums in Feedback to see how long this has been going on and how much it's annoying everyone...and how NOT to pick a web host.

I just sent another e-mail to Netfirms - this one was harsher than the previous ones but I doubt any good will come from it.

This is so damn frustrating. It's hard as hell for people to find this site, and then they do, and they check out the forum, and they try to post and their messages are lost.

I don't know if I would deal with this page-loading problems if I weren't the webmaster here. :x

My apologies to anyone frustrated by this mess. Please don't give up on the site.

I haven't had any trouble with pages not loading whatsoever. They always load right away for me.

Its cool Luke, I just wanted to know if I was the only one experiencing these annoying little server glitches and let you know about them. I'm not going anywhere though, this site is great. Hopefully your host will work on fixing the problem..

According to them, all the pages load fine without problems.

So, I guess the problem's on our end...ALL of our end.
