It doesn't have to be seeing a Disney movie...actually, I'd prefer it if wasn't, since we've done a thread about the first movie you've seen.

Mine would have to be when The Disney Store first opened at Ala Moana Shopping Center. I'd gone shopping with my mom and we stopped off at the Disney Store. I saw a plush Bambi, an Ariel doll which was sitting atop a plastic sea shell and a Minnie Tea Set that I really really wanted. Unfortunatly my mother didn't think I needed any more toys so she said no. I left willingly and without incident, but I was as sad as a child could be...
...the next day my grandfather asked me if I wanted to go anywhere, and of course, I said "The Disney Store!" We went later that day and me bought me the Bambi Doll, the Tea set and Ariel Toy! My mom was SO MAD when I went home, but since it was my grandfather, she got over it very quickly. I still have all three toys.

I first remember seeing Aladdin. I only remember seeing bits of it. My second memory would be watching Beauty and the Beast on VHS.

First Disney memory would be watching Alice in Wonderland for the first time (I was four at the time).

Second Disney memory would be going to Disneyland for the first time (five years old at the time).

I only know we watched Cinderella when we were little from Home Movies, but my earliest Disney memory was the one posted in my Disney Story. My brother and I were watching the "Heigh-Ho" Sing-a-long-Songs tape in our old house. The segment of "Pirate's Life for Me" using clips from the ride always scared the heck out of me (I was only 3!) so I ran out of the house outside to the backyard deck and played with a Disneyland Railroad toy until it was finished. I don't know why but this is one of the very few memories I have from when we lived in our old house.

Another Disney memory is the first time we went to WDW (I was 4) and we went to the Haunted Mansion. I sat with my dad and for some reason I wasn't scared at all. I think this may be b/c I was so small and couldn't see much anyway. What I DO remember seeing is the Doom Buggy next to ours. It was holding my mom, grandpa, sister and brother and they were huddled like football players with their heads down . Heheh, I shouldn't laugh but it was really funny.

I remember watching The Rescuers Down Under when it came out on VHS on September 27, 1991 it was my 9th birthday.
I got a big cake of the Wuzzles and I received all the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hey it was popular back then.
I also remember watching Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King in the theater along with going to Disneyland when I was 8 years old. I also remember watching Dumbo, Bambi and Cinderella when I was young also.

My earliest memory in life is watching The Little Mermaid in the movie theater.

I remember watching The Rescuers Down Under as a very young baby. I remember Macleach scared the crap outta me, and I'd cry like mad, having my sister come and shut it off(Probably the only nice thing my sister did for me before I was 6, most likely did it to try and make me madder) I'm watching you Jenny, right now

theres two things and I cant remember which was first though....

DisneyLand when I was too scared to go on any rides, but they finally got me to get on Pirates of the Carribean. That skull that talks right before the first drop freaked me out! I still love that ride even though its been changed. I also remember seeing 'The Wonderful World of Disney' ( i think it was called ) every week , but I dont remember what night it was. I always enjoyed it . especially the ones with animal adventures. ( think Charlie the Lonesome Cougar) I would still watch it if it was on, c'mon Disney! bring it back!!!

Watching Sleeping beauty in the theater in the 80's

My earliest memory is when I was either 5 or 6 six years old my mom told me that she had a surprise for me and I thought it was going to be some dool or something and I remember being mad becasue when I came home from school she didnt give me my surprise. I fell a sleep next thing I know my pearnets were taking me out kind of late at night well what was late at night at the time for me . And my surprise was to go see Disney on Ice Peter Pan. I remember being in total awww that was one of the coolest ngihts of my young life and I got a Tinker Bell flashlight thing. It was great .

Peter Pan on ice? that's cool. I went to Disney on Ice the last time they came (I was 20). It's amazing how ice skating Disney characters never gets old.

My earliest has to be seeing aladdin in theatres and then recieving Beauty and the Beast for a birthday present and being scared because of Aladdin..

no clue, but that's how it went.

watching disney channel, the ealiest shows i remember watching in the late 80's where, dumbo's circus and pooh corner.

i also remember watching "wake rattle and roll' (or jump,rattle and roll) but dont remember if it was during it's syndicated morning run or on disney channel in 91...

i was sorta like that as well. i remember watching the "Under the Sea" Sing-a-long Song video and I was scared of the "Never Smile at a Crocodile" on the video. after a while I soon came over my fears from that song. also when i was young, i saw the "Heigh-Ho" Singalong Songs video but I never saw the Pirates segment. it was until I was older when I found one of the oldest versions of the Singalongs videos that I found the Pirates segment on that tape.

Like Jack, my earliest memory ever was our trip to Disney World back in '87, when I was 3. I remember bits and bobs like being on the plane, a few rides (i.e. the Peter Pan dark ride and Small World), and photos at a character breakfast.

Wowzers Jack I have the Same One. That is what I remember also seeing Little Mermaid when it came out I love that movie so much to this day. Under The Sea Under The Sea. Jody Benson has a great voice. I was so mad when I bought LIttle Mermaid II on VHS the day it came out and I watched it and it was so horrible compared to the 1st. But Little Mermaid is deffinately one of the best Disney Movies.

I share many of the memories that you guys have posted. I just can't remember what my first was. I come from a family of very big Disney fans (on my mom's side, anyways), so I was sort of indoctrinated with Disney from day 1.

Mine was The Little Mermaid...I saw it in the theater when I was two and loved it so much that I became obsessed with it! (In fact, I still am! ) We are re-doing my room now and I am finding so much Little Mermaid stuff that I forgot I had!! It's great

It pretty much covers the same territory doesn't it? At least most people talk about their first Disney experience there...

My first Disney memory was when my mom bought some Read-along cassette tapes when I was very small. I remember having The Three Little Pigs, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast etc.
