I know that technically this isn't Disney (I'm from Canada where RTA belongs to Sullivan) but do you know if Sullivan has any ideas to create another Road to Avonlea reunion movie? I'm a big fan of the series, and loved "Happy Christmas Miss King", and I'm eagerly awaiting something new from Avonlea.

I didn't know about a reunion, but in case you don't know, as you don't yet have a DVD player, the movie and the first season are available on DVD here:

The link didn't work properly (it took a really long time to load, and was then just a blank screen). But by "the movie" do you mean "Happy Christmas Miss King" or the movie that began the series? I have that one on video, and it's actually just a combination of two episodes. I'd rather see them seperate, in their entirety, on the season set.
But, I need a DVD player first!

Yeah, Road to Avonlea: The Movie (which is the same as the VHS Road to Avonlea: The Journey Begins) isn't as good as watching the two episodes seperately. Even the background music is changed for this "movie". It's almost as cheap as what Disney does on occasion: combines a few episodes of a TV series and passes it off as a full-length "movie".

Both DVD's are out, and are available at the Sullivan Boutique website (use Luke's link from above). And they're not hard to find at places like Wal-Mart, Zellers, or Music World.

i recently puurcahsed Anne of Green Gables, and couldn't find anne of avonlea anywhere. however, last year at christmas, Wal-Mart was selling a dvd called an Avonlea christmas, so i bought for fun and I think it was the reunion special that aired in Canada. The storyline is that Felix goes to war and goes missing and then Aunt Hettie goes to hospital. does this sound like the tv special? it's a good christmas flick and something i'm truly glad i found.

Hey disneyfella: An Avonlea Christmas is the same as the TV special "Happy Christmas Miss King" that aired here in Canada in 1998. Great movie, just wish they hadn't used different sets, and wish they'd brought back Gus and Sara.

I have an unopened copy of "Anne of Avonlea" on DV

Prince Adam, I totally wish they had brought back Gus and Sarah. Do you know of any reason why they didn't show up?

I don't know-I guess it was just easier to say that Gus's eyes were better and that he was off wherever, and I don't even think they mentioned Sara. I'd better check though: haven't watched it since Christmas.
