(Little) Preview of Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas

I was going to post this under the existing movie thread, but since I couldn't find it, here it is. The Brazilian Disney site has made available a very short scene from Mickey's CGI movie, "Twice Upon a Christmas". It is only a glimpse, showing Donald and his nephews. Well, it's not as bad as I thought it would be, but I still preffer waiting for the final product.

To watch it, you need to visit www.disney.com.br and wait for the pop-up window to show up. Then, you just need to click on the picture and watch the video (Quick Time format). :)

Still looks really weird to me, but of course it's a very short clip, so it's too early to pass judgment. Disney and Christmas is usually an awesome combination, so I'm still holding hope on this one.

Yeah, they didn't give us a long enough glimpse, but I have to admit that I'm rather intrigued by this project. Like Luke said, it's hard to go wrong when you're combining Christmas and Disney, so I'm still looking forward to this, especially since I enjoyed the first one quite a bit.

Don't see anything

When I go to the link I am not seeing a popup window. Is it on the main page?
EDIT
Nevermind got it to work

I don't know... can't see anything wrong with it myself. The 10 seconds that was there looked pretty cool to me! (But Im easy to please).

As everyone here has said, Christmas toons are pretty cool, and Disney has had a good track record.

As for the (limited amount as it was) animation, I think it looks pretty cool. Kind of combines the "rubberbanding" of old with the CGI of new. And I think they've nailed the expressions on their faces. Very smooth for what people seem to think is a "cheap" production.

Isn't it odd how the people who complain about this (not specifically on this thread, but in past postings) seem to adore Mickey's PhilharMagic at Disney World?

Give the thing a chance before you pass judgement.

I don't know, it seems like Disney's biggest enemies are it's own so-called fans.

Did you get the little pop-up window with Donald in the chair?
Click on that and it should give you 3 viewing options (small, medium, large).
Then it is just a matter of clicking.

Yes, as I have said in the past - it is no wonder Disney release so many so-called "cheap" DTVs when the fans have already condemned half their major releases. All we have seen is one still shot, and less than 30 seconds of footage and we already have naysayers.

Is it the change that people fear, or the possibility it might actually succeed?

I think it's both, and I totally agree with you Loomis... I really can't stand naysayers, especially when they are commenting on a trailer. Now it's not even a trailer! It's a 30 seconds movie clip! Jeez, like 2099net said, some people really are Disney's worst enemy. I am open for critism towards Disney, but this really is too much... We still ARE Disney fans, aren't we? Well I am, some of you should be thinking about what you really are to Disney...

Do you have any popup stoppers? I did and thats why it didn't work for me.

Afterall it doesn't look too bad, it could be interesting. Wish Pixar could contribute.

i don't know if anyone else caught this, but on the Mickey Mouse in Living Color Volume II, on disc 2 they were talking about "Mouse Mania" I believe and they showed the coverart (or temporary coverart) for the Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas, but only in passing. Someone else check and see if I"m correct. I know it's on that set somewhere. It has a giant Mickey Head on the bottom with his eyes looking up or something. The head is cut off at the bottom by about his nose. I"ll try and find out over the weekend, but if anyone is bored check it out.

disneyfella, this has been seen by Mickey A at the Animated News forum too... He posted something about it here.

For anyone that is having troubles getting to the movie clip, you can now also see it here at The Disney Database!

They've shown a kind of promotional artwork on the Disney Channel in one of their commercial break clips on Mickey's anniversary.
