Yes, another icon of cinema passes. I just heard comedian/actor Buddy Hackett died at the age of 78.

He played Tennessee Steinmetz in "The Love Bug" and voiced Scuttle the seagull in "The Little Mermaid" and its sequel.

:(

Yeah..most recently one of my favorites, James Coburn.

I know he looks more familiar than in the Love Bug. What other movies/tv was he in?

He also appeared in "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" and "The Music Man" in the '60s.

He was in "Scrooged", playing himself as one of the actors in the big TV production.

He was also on Jay Mohr's short-lived TV series, "Action". He hosted "You Bet Your Life" in the '80s. (They also worked together in the movie "Paulie.") And he had a lot of guest appearances on TV - one I remember was as a friendly mob boss in a Christmas "Boy Meets World" episode.

Hey everybody, I'm back. I went to Las Vegas, which was a lot of fun. I had to make a trip to Wal-Mart, and like you mentioned earlier, they had some good Disney deals (better than my local store anyway). I picked up The Love Bug and the OOP remake of The Parent Trap for only $14.44 a piece. I haven't seen The Love Bug yet, but I do like Buddy Hackett. I turned on the news in my hotel (New York New York) and saw that Katherine Hepburn had died on Sunday. The next day I saw that Hackett had died on Monday. I couldn't believe it. :(

What did you think of the hotel? I've only stayed in Monte Carlo, and Loved it. I visited all the hotels, but for some reason found New York New York one of my lesser favorite... I dunno.. What did you think?

It's funny, the Monte Carlo was one of the few hotels I didn't visit. I liked the New York New York because it seemed to have the widest variety of food. They had upscale fancy restraunts and fast food places all over. I also liked the entertainment. Boo! (scary improv show) was hilarious and Comic Rita Rudner was absolutely histerical! :pink: I guess it just grew on me and seemed to be the most convenient hotel. I dunno. I just really enjoyed it and recommend it. It seemed the best place in Vegas for a family to stay at. (complete with roller coaster)

Sounds cool, welcome back Mr. Sulley. Never been to Las Vegas. Glad you had a good time.
