I just started collecting Disney DVD's and I was wondering if someone could help me? What does it mean when a DVD says that it is formatted for region one? Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!!!

Region 1 is made to play in American and Canadian dvd players. Region 2 is for European dvd players. And so on. The best thing is to get a multiregion dvd player and buy anything.

Just sitck to region one and don't worry about the other regions, they are for far away places and you probabbly don't speak their language.

Given the name I would bet on Dudette.

..... dvd's around the world all play the original English language track and it often happens that a movie is released in Region 2 and is not available in R1 so there is nothing wrong with getting R2 dvd's
Plus, look at those nice R2 packages:

And wether you speak a foreign language or not has nothing to do with it
