Will all gold collection classic titles be rereleased again?

I know this is similar to my other topic, (and I'm sorry

), but I just wondered if all gold collection (animated classic) titles will be rereleased again on dvd. I kinda think so, seeing Mulan, Pocahontas, etc being rereleased, but I'd like to know other people's opinions.

See, I think I'm actually starting to become obsessed with Disney dvds.

Originally, my plan was to just buy the platinum collection, after that, I decided to get the platinums and special (masterpiece) editions, and now, I want all 44 animated classics (plus most of the sequals)!!!!!!!
Now, I've heard that the gold collection dvds are horrible, so I'm not really wanting to buy any, but I'm hoping that the 44 classics will be released on a combination of platinums, specials, masterpieces, aniversaries, and standard editions.
For example, I am planning on buying the aniversary editions of Dumbo and Winnie the pooh, and the special editions of Oliver and Company and The Rescuers. I really like the Aristocats, but was hoping it would be rereleased in another "collection"
Opinions?
Thanks again so much everyone

No. Not all the Gold Collection DVDs are horrible, really. For the most part, video and audio quality is decent and there are a few basic extras. The most popular and recent titles will be revisited, but for a number of them, that DVD will probably be the best release seen in this format. I'd be shocked if any of the Anthology films (from Saludos to Ichabod) were rereleased, but something like Hercules seems likely for a Special Edition.
Of course, Disney knows the value of Special Editions as much as any other studio these days, and even their lesser animated features are more popular than most films. So while they would undoubtedly stand to profit from rereleases of things like Robin Hood and Sword in the Stone, I don't know how likely they are.

Ok thanks again.
Well, the "golds" I want to know if its save to wait and assume rereleases for are mainly these,
Pinocchio,
Aristocats,
Fox and Hound,
Hunchback Notra Dame,
Hercules,
(also Pocahontas which we know will be rereleased soon, and Mulan as well)
Is it somewhat safe to assume these will get rereleased?

Pinocchio will come at some point, but it may be a few years. Hunchback and Hercules I'd expect in the next two years. Aristocats and Fox and the Hound are the least likely of the bunch, but there's still a chance, I think.

Pinocchio, Hunchback Notra Dame and Hercules will have better re-relases in the future but Aristocats and Fox and the Hound might not so you should get Aristocats and Fox and the Hound at Best Buy online or Costco.
Mermaid Kelly I'm a big Disney DVD Animation collector but I don't have many Gold Collection or Limed Issues (suck badly).
These are the ones I still need to have Disney DVD Animation to complete my collection.
Pinocchio
Bambi
Cinderella
Lady and the Tramp
101 Dalmations
The Jungle Book
The Little Mermaid
Aladdin
Mulan
Tarzan
Home On The Range
I'm crazy for Disney DVD's!!!!

DreamerQ18 you should get the Gold Collection of The Sword in The Stone and Robin Hood because they have a little chance of being re-released again. I own both and are great Gold Collection DVD's. I recommend you to get them before they become OOP (out of print).

If it's unlikely they'll be rereleased, why would they go OOP? Alice was never pullen and it got a rerelease. DreamerQ18, I would get them if you got the extra money and have nothing better to buy, or you really want them. If they're just something on a big list, I would wait till there's nothing better or till you find out that they're going OOP.

Disney just might make the entire Gold Collection brand OOP (out of print) and then in a few years let say 5 take them out as a new banner.
They might call them Silver or Copper Editions or something like that.
No, one knows if they will be HD-DVD or regular DVD.
All I'm saying it's better to get them now then wait later.
The longer you wait the harder they will be to find The Sword in The Stone and Robin Hood.
If you have extra cash you should get them DreamerQ18. But if you don't have extra cash just hold on and get them later.

well my idea is to get all the disney classics From Snowhite to home on the range, but it´s true....all the gold collection era tittles deserve better editions, not only the super hits but also movies like Robin Hood, swords in the stone or magic cauldron, they´re not so popular but at least anyone here want them with more special features and image quality don´t you???

I'm not sure, why is everyone doubting so much that the Gold Collection will be released again? I have faith that they all will be released (yes, on DVD) eventually. Look at Alice in Wonderland, it's not a very popular movie yet for some reason they chose to release it. So why not The Fox and the Hound or Robin Hood? Even the package features, I believe that they will come back. That's why I'm not buying any of the Gold Collection.
I highly doubt HD-DVD is something to fret about for now. People are acting like regular DVD is becoming obsolete, but it's all just media talk; DVD is practically brand-new, it's only been really popular for the past couple of years, and there are still VHS tapes out there and stuff being released on them. I don't think HD-DVD will replace DVD for another 15-20 years.
