Supposedly to be released 2nd September (along with 56,000 other DVD titles!)

Hrm.. if that is true, than, AwSOME. If it isn't then, pooh!

. Although you'd think Disney would mention something officially by now?

Well, September is still a few months off. And presumably Disney want their current release to keep selling.
[off topic rant]
Besides, you think Disney should have announced something by now? Try finding out anything about the European or Australian Disney DVD releases a few weeks before their release. You can't, because they don't announce anything at all!

Hahaha. I guess you are right about that and the release dates of European and Aussie dates!

If there is legitimacy to this claim, I'm definitely interested in buying. But haven't the 9/2 titles already gone up for pre-order?

I actually emailed Disney last week about the Herbie Box set which comes out next month. I just wanted to know something incredibly complex (like will they be widescreen or P & S).
Still haven't heard back...
I guess I'll have to wait until it is out...Shame, because we like to take advantage of those pre-order bonuses.
NB: Sorry Jabroni for the misquote

I wonder if these September 2nd releases are going to be real special editions or just striped down versions....

See the Ultimate Disney homepage!
Looks like it's 56,001 DVDs being released on September 2nd.

Yeah, waaaaay too many DVDs coming that day. But the Absent-Minded Professor re-release seems more important to buy than most. I hope it sells great, and Disney will start doing more widescreen catalogue stuff.
Of course, I gotta have my Saved By The Bell too.

September 2 will be a very expensive day but you won't see me complaining about another "must have" title being put out in OAR so that I can buy it now. Somebody may finally be paying attention at Disney to us when we tell them OAR or NO SALE.

After just plonking down on the Vault set, as well as a few others that come out that day here and in the US, looks like September will need to be 'Loomis gets a second job' month. Hee hee hee...
Glad to see this is coming out OAR (and original colour!). I have fond memories of this as a Saturday/Sunday afternoon repeat viewer...
