It kinda sucks that they're not releasing the Miss Bliss season on DVD, at least not yet...but I'm thrilled they're releasing the rest.
By the way, welcome to the site and be sure to check out the Saved By The Bell icons in the gallery.

Well, they're not funny like the Bayside episodes, for sure. But then it was going for the "sweet sitcom with heart and some laughs" familiar '80s approach. Hayley Mills as the star, and an attempt at a real high school?
What made the Bayside ones work so well was that it was completely ridiculous situations and embraced all the stereotypes without question. That, and the six actors made their specific characters endearing and interesting. They really deserve credit, as you replace them with 6 different good-looking kids and similar plots...and it didn't work (The New Class).
The high school seasons were a lot funnier, certainly, and definitely better than the Miss Bliss year. You're right there.
But I still like the Miss Bliss one and there were some really good episodes among the baker's dozen that aired - the one with Screech on trial, Deke the illiterate bully, frog dissection, and Zack's pledge with the Rigmas. Holy crap, let me stop right there...my knowledge of SBTB is embarassing. (I *did* have to look up the club name, though.)
