I didn't know she was in Disney's theatrical masterpiece Teacher's Pet!

I'll go with hmm.... Pillow Talk!!!

Doris Day's most famous role is almost most definatly her role in Pillow Talk!

No No No She wasn't in the Disney Version she was in the1958 Version that also Starred: Clark Gable, Gig Young, Mamie Van Doren.

Here Is A Brief Description

Hard-boiled, self-educated newspaper editor Clark Gable turns down an opportunity to lecture before a night-school journalism class, publicly ridiculing the notion that the art of news writing can be taught. Gable's publisher, sensing a good story, orders the recalcitrant editor to appear at the lecture. Upon entering the classroom, Gable overhears journalism teacher Doris Day, the daughter of a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter, condemn Gable's attitude towards higher education. Intrigued by the lovely Day, Gable enrolls in her class under an assumed name. He quickly goes to the head of the class (after all, he's had more experience than all the other students combined), then begins a campaign to romance Day. But there's a fly in the ointment: Day's fiance Gig Young, who gives an Oscar-calibre performance as a smug know-all. Likewise stealing every scene she's in is Mamie Van Doren, playing an exotic dancer who's set her sights on Gable. Fay and Michael Kanin's sprightly screenplay for Teacher's Pet manages to steer clear of any and all potential cliches. — Hal Erickson

I thought Doris Day was a singer. Was she really in movies too?

I think a good tangent to take this topic would be for each of us to design a KISS style make up for Doris Day and to post the pics here. Be sure not to just copy the existing makeups of the band members, but to create your own UNIQUE designs that still fit in with the KISS style.

Favorite silent film or talkie?

Do you people have any respect for an 80 year old woman ? Why must you mock her in these ways of these stuped drawing and pics. Like Indian Face Big Fat Tounge Bat Face. This Is Sick. I did not post this thread to see her made fun of in these ways!

Seriously, though I had no idea she was even an actress. Thought she was just a singer and had done some variety show stuff.

You know what this generation might not have any respect for their elders but I do. Would you do this if she was watching what you guys put on this thread ? She is a sweet old lady. And I don't support this,

Well Guru, I would imagine she did come and read these she would take this with a whole lot more humour than you do.

Also, I am not sure acting and singing are things that should get a whole lot of respect. She did them, she got paid. Now she may have some more endearing qualities. I must admit I am woefully unknowledgeable when it was comes to her personal life though. Can you enlighten us? Charitable causes maybe.

Chris, I don't think they were doing it in a mean-spirited way or trying to make fun of her. Heaven forbid they Kissify Amy Grant though!!!!!!

Yes Miss Day has been responsible in a lot of charity acts. For example she has done the DDAL and the DDAF. Which stand for the Doris Day Animal League which saves dogs and cats and all other animals and also fights against testing on animals.and the DDAF is about the same thing she has done great things in charity works!
