i've got the donald tin and my wife wants to see a particular cartoon and doesn't know the title. she says donald is in a cabin and a bear is trying to hide from him and pretends to be a rug and ends up getting thrown in the washing machine. she also says there are bears picking up garbage and singing a song in the begining. anyone know the title and if it is on chronological donald?

Remember this is only the first volume. It's a good one but I think there's some even better stuff that comes later that should be on Volume II.

Your wife is remembering parts of two different cartoons.
The first part of the bear pretending to be a rug is from the cartoon Rugged Bear from 1953.
The second part of the bears singing a song while picking up trash is from the cartoon In The Bag from 1956.
Neither cartoon is on this volume one of the Chronological Donald DVD set, which ends with the 1941 cartoons.
Rugged Bear will probably eventually appear in Volume 3 or so in a few years, since it is considered a Donald Duck cartoon.
In The Bag is considered a "Special" cartoon...not a Donald Duck cartoon. It may appear in a "Special" cartoon collection in a few years. By the way, Donald is not in this cartoon - the Ranger J. Audubon Woodlore is in the cartoon with Humphrey and the other bears.

There is one on Disc 2 of Volume I where he gets in a skirmish with a bear. It's called "Donald's Vacation."
