Disney & Nintendo

Ok, I searched and found something for computer games, but not video games. There were also like 1000 hits, so if it's been discussed, it hasn't been recently!

I'm playing Aladdin on SNES (well, switching turns w/ a friend), and I'd forgotten how much it was. Disney has a lot of great games out on Nintendo systems, so I thought we could discuss them!

Disney games are much harder than one would think. I have a disney racing for N64, and a Mickey game for GameBoy, both of which are hard.

Ducktales (NES) is really good, although a little to easy. TaleSpin was also released for NES, but I don't like it too much. Too repeative and maybe a little too hard.

Aladdin was fun, although I only played it on Sega Genesis. But I suppose it's more or less the same. The Jungle Book was also released on some consoles. Has anyone tried it?

Those were the good old days when I used to play Nintendo all day!!!
I remember playing DuckTales (Easy) , Chip'n' Dale Rescue Rangers (Easy), Tale Spin (Hard), Darkwing Duck (Hard), The Little Mermaid (Easy), Mickey Mousecapades (Hard) , Duck Tales 2 (Easy) and Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers 2 (Easy) on NES.
I beat all the NES games back in those days and still play once in a while.
LOL

On SNES which I didn't own but I remeber the relases of these games they were Goof Troop, Bonkers, Toy Story, The Lion King, Aladdin, Pinocchio and The Jungle Book.
Disney relase other Disney games that feature Mickey Mouse on SNES.

But Gensis relase Aladdin, Lion King and Tale Spin and Gargoyles.
Which I didn't own either.
My parents found me addicted to NES!!! :D

Still today Disney games are popular but not that popular like they use to be.

I bought Sega Genesis primarily for the Toy Story game. It soon became a favorite pastime in my family. I distinctly recall my mother being up late at night "trying to get Woody in bed." Oh dear.

Yep, Ballzo, that' Magic Kingdom on NES, which I have and play every now and then. I also have The Little Mermaid on NES, which is great.

For Super Nintendo, I have Aladdin and The Jungle Book. Again, both are great.

Nor N64, I have Toy Story 2 (actually, that one is my sister's), and it's not so great.

Wow, I would love to play the Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, Roger Rabbit, and Tale Spin games! I didn't know they existed!

In a weird turn of events the Aladdin game on Sega Genesis was totally different than the SNES one. SNES was made by capcom and the Sega one was made by Virgin. I have both, and imho the Sega Aladdin is much better, so you didn't really miss out :)

Well we never had Nintendo, but way back when, I had a Sega Genesis and was addicted to the Aladdin game. We also had Toy Story, and a cool version of Fantasia (why on earth they decided to make a game out of it, I'll never know). I was never very good at video games though, so my older brother had to beat them for me. He finally taught me the cheat code for Aladdin to pass all the levels just so I'd quit bugging him to play for me!

Oh, and there was one that starred Donald Duck as an archeologist... it was called "quack" something. Quack Attack... Quack Shot... Oh, I don't remember, but it was awesome- you made Donald eat peppers to lose his temper.

Anyone with an interest in Disney Video Games needs to get hold of a copy of Mickey Mania (SNES and Megadrive/Genesis) or it's slight updating Mickey's Wild Adventure for the PSOne (which is, of course, playable on a PS2).

This is a simple, only slightly demanding on later levels, platform game. However it features levels based on a number of Mickey Shorts throughout the years, which should all be recognisable to Treasures set owners!

From a black and white Steamboat Willie level (which slowly bleeds into colour) to The Prince and the Pauper this game is a delight for Disney and Mickey fans!

Special congratulations should be given for the 16-Bit console versions, some of the graphics and effects are simply stunning!

I so remember MIckey Mania! I somehow got a sticker set with screencaps of the game. I really wanted this game, but never got it. The same with the Toy Story game. When Wal-Mart had a BIG sale of SNES games to make room for Playstation and N64, they had Aladdin and Pinnochio for cheap! Everytime we went, I'd stand in front of the rack for an hour, trying decide which to buy from the plethora of games...didn't get any. I was too slow to choose that when I slept on the decision, they were gone...:(

There was a Chip and Dale game where they go into the rides at Disney World. I'm not sure if its the same ur talking about Balzo. It had a really lame title: Walt DIsney World Magical Racing Tour. I have the GBC version, and it's not all that great compared to Mickey's Racing Adventure. Still, I would love to play it on Playstation.

I found out that there was a Disney DDR version! I don't know if it's still avaliable anywhere, but I would definitely want to play it!

Same here... I had a magazine with it on the cover, and I looked through it so many times that it fell apart. At least I have the ROM now.

Don't... uh... get your hopes up. I have all the versions in Stepmania! and if you're expecting any real Disney classics, you're going to be disappointed. Honestly, a lot of it is pretty damned funny... nothing like a Japanese Chip and Dale.
