Why no PIXAR remakes and would you want them?

I've wondered for a while why there haven't been remakes of PIXAR films considering the money to be had (which we know is what drives Disney primarily). Josh O'Connor was recently on SNL joking about a Ratatouille remake. And now there are rumors that they may be beginning the (inevitable) Frozen remake--likely to be timed for a year or two after 3 and 4 have come out. So what are the reasons they haven't moved on to PIXAR properties now they've gone through the biggest of the WDAS Canon?
One of the only things I can think of are complaints and negative media statements from current and former PIXAR talent about their occurrence which they wouldn't want to deal with, but the same happened with WDAS remakes with no slowing down. Or could it be something contractual going back to when PIXAR was bought by Disney? I recall one of the reasons Lasseter agreed to stay with Disney was the idea of sequels to the films they'd made while in partnership with Disney getting sequels made by people completely unconnected with those who had made them. But I doubt they could legally stop them from being made by Disney.
