Everything around this movie feels so chaotic. I can't imagine how workers are trying to have everything ready for the release date.

I mean this is nothing new for WDAS though. And this isn’t just going back to Frozen 2, this dates back to Black Cauldron, Aladdin, The Emperor’s New Groove, Chicken Little, Bolt, etc.

So we should celebrate toxic work conditions because they're normal?

This movie most likely has the most explotive work conditions, they transformed a TV series into a movie in less than one year, you realise that the animators have been most likely working 24/7 since January? (I guess they at least gave them Christmas and new years vacation, I don't think they're that evil)

Ok, first of all, that first part was not about celebrating it, it was more like just being real about how these things have mostly been.

And second, I doubt that this has been going on since January since the decision seemed to have happen around last fall before Wish came out and failed or after, per Entertainment Weekly. And even if they have been working around the clock since early this year or late last year, hopefully their efforts will pay off the way they want them to.

Dolls are starting to appear. I saw Moana and Simea doll set from Mattel in my local toy store and I also saw some people posting real pics of Jakks dolls on social media so I think that shops are now allowed to release all the stuff.
A friend of mine who worked at Disney store told me that Disney uses to release merchandise about 6 weeks before the releasing date in the US so we could expect Disney store's merchandise in October, around October 14th.

More like a 60-second spot than a trailer, especially if this isn’t played in front of The Wild Robot.

I’m expecting the ACTUAL final trailer to drop in late October.

Plus, we have a new poster as well.

Not bad.

And a variant of this spot on the IMAX Twitter page confirmed it will be released in IMAX, a blow to Wicked and Gladiator II as both films will give up their IMAX screens to that film.

But at least it’s good news for this movie as the fate of many animators and storytellers at Walt Disney Animation Studios rest on the success of this film at the global box office, which in turn rests on the quality of this film that hopefully will be shown strongly with the amount of effort the animators may still be finishing up as we speak to make it look lit.

Let us ensure that all the animators efforts on this movie does not end in vain, even with them going through what many of the animators at Pixar went through during the final days of the production of Inside Out 2 to make that movie be the savior of Pixar it ended up being.

Let us ensure, amidst the Animation Guild’s still-ongoing efforts, that another movie makes the supposed billion it makes to save those souls’ jobs and bring in many more to come, even with the chance of bringing back potentially veterans of Disney Animation to work on Tiana if it becomes a hand-drawn animated movie sequel to The Princess And The Frog, should Moana 2 making a billion give Disney the impression that maybe making more sequel series to Disney animated films of WDAS into sequel movies is better for a ROI than as a Disney+ series that would be watched by so little people.

It’s time… to make Walt Disney Animation Studios great again.

I am not very impressed about the sneak peak of the song but let's wait to see the final resault.
I understand that there are people obsessed with this movie to be a hit thinking than then Disney is going to make great things again.
This movie beeing a hit only means that Disney is going to still making sequels instead of original movies. Their problem is that they are focussing their efforts too much in creating movies only to represent cultures and people instead of focus all their forces into making beautiful stories full of great characters and good songs. This movie is the easy way for Disney and I'm affraid that we are going to experiment another sequels era because it's easy money for them.

No, I disagree because Pixar still has Elio and Hopper next summer and in Spring 2026 and there is still that untitled animated original film from Walt Disney Animation Studios that releases in 2026, which may be Suzi Yoonessi film.

Companies want money. They can have new movies in development but this would not be the first time that they cancel things just because they don't want to risk. I think that making sequels of popular movies to earn money is not a good idea and I'm sorry but nobody is going to change my mind.
Doing a TV series is different because people tend to watch them and forget that they saw it in a couple of months. However a sequel is more permanent in people's mind.

All the more reason why Tiana should go from Disney+ series to big screen movie, especially if Moana 2’s numbers make Disney decide to go there.

This movie is definetly getting a B+ cinemascore like Wish, but also like Frozen 2 that made 1.4 billion at the box office

The plot will be very empty, the song very mediocre (the one we have listened is very generic like Wish) and the new characters soulless since they went from TV show to movie erasing all their character development

Amazing. Every word of what you just said is wrong. The CS for Wish was an A-,not a B+, the plot will not be empty, the new song is catchy so far, and the new characters will not be soulless since Jennifer Lee said they'll each get a moment to shine.

I can't say I'm excited for this movie. Everything we've seen so far makes it seem like a copy of the original with the exception of the sister and the three characters who will most likely annoy me.
