Hi
I'm new to this forum.
I wonder if anyone knows if the song Aquarela do brasil with Aloysio Oliviera is avalible in any kind of media like 78 rpm, LP, CD, MP3 etc.
I recently visited Brasil but i could not find it in any record store. I would be very happy for any kind of information how to find this song.

Hey, Grumpy. Welcome to the forum. Feel free to formally introduce yourself
here.

I don't have the answer you're looking for here, but I'm sure someone does. Joe_Carioca is a member here who lives in Brazil, he may be able to help you.

Hi Grumpy, welcome to the boards!
"Aquarela do Brasil" is one of the most beautiful songs ever put to paper. It is a shame Disney refuses to release it on CD (as with the soundtrack of all the anthology features) because it wouldn't be so lucrative.
Well, I also did a research and couldn't find anything! I'm sure it must have been released in some format, but I couldn't find it. I looked for it over Google and over Brazilian virtual stores, but could find nothing... nada!
I'll continue to look for it, and if I thind anything, I will post it here.

I have been demanding the release of SALUDOS AMIGOS and THE 3 CABALLEROS on cd-sountrack for a looong time in every forum and even sent emails to disney itself.
No plans to release the soundtracks. Some songs are available in some compilations, such as THE MUSIC OF DISNEY. A LEGACY IN SONG. and DISNEYS 75 YEARS OF MUSICAL MEMORIES.
Still, not everything...

I don't remember the specific titles, so I'm really not sure about "Aquarela do Brasil", but I see from time to time 78 rpm records of songs from Disney's "package features" of the 40's offered on eBay.

I did not find anything either, but almost all the pages that I got on google was in brasilian so that may be the reason.
If you understand that you can try and search for the title (some times also just called "Brazil") and it was preformed by Aloysio de Oliveira (I belive that he was the preformer)

Yep, it was composed by Ary Barroso and performed by Aloysio de Oliveira (in the movie).

real classics

I've got sheet music of "Aquarela do Brasil" and "Baia". They fit very nicely in my Saludos Amigos/Three Caballeros laserdisc box set...

Hi -
At last I have found the soundtrack for Saludos amigos. There is a set that has three 78 rpm records and of course it includes Aquarela do brasil. I'm gonna transfer it to a cd, so i dont need to play the records.
Here is an image of the cover -
