What should be the next Disney film based off of a WDW or DL ride?

My vote goes to Alien Encounter. It would make one kicka-err(remember, DISNEY SITE. Don't swear), kickbutt movie!!!!!

That Tom Morrow could carry it. Maybe they could get Johnny Depp or Denzel Washington to play him.

My vote goes to It's a small World

The country bears, ohh wait thats been done. Ok Haunted Mansion, ahh thats been done too. Space Mountain, no that would suck. It's a small world it is!

It's not a ride, but if you expand this to "attraction," I vote for Fantasmic!.

I think It's A Small World would make a cute movie for kids if it was done well and not released as direct-to-video. I have a book from when I was little about a little boy who goes to Disneyland with his school or orphanage or something and he has some sort of revelation while riding It's A Small World. I absolutely loved it when I was little, so I don't see why some young children wouldn't appreciate a movie version of it.

It's A Small World could be a good movie, live action or animated, about a global adventure. It definitely has potential.

I also think Jungle Cruise or The Timekeeper have some potential.

I forgot about Fantasmic! seeing over many times yes it should be made into a 3D movie.

After all, its theme song is about the power of imagination, for crying loud out! Let's face it. Fantasmic! is a wonderful thing, but it needs the fireworks and special effects to keep it going.

I disagree with you pinkrenata Fantasmic! is about imagination not about the fireworks or special effects.
I love the story of Fantasmic!
The characters and the music is awesome.
I really will enjoyed if they take out a DVD of Fantasmic! in 3D!

Big Thunder Mountain or Twilight Zone Tower of Terror could probably also be worked into films

I haven't ridden Mission: Space yet, but my bet is that could work, too. I leave for WDW in two and a half weeks, so I'll find out soon enough!

Tower Of Terror has already been a movie, but it was just a made-for-TV movie, so it could definitley still stand a big-budget thought process, and it should be an actual Twilight Zone movie!

Big Thunder could be really cool, I'd like to see that.

Renata- I kind of disagree, too. Of course, they'd have to take some liberties, but they could make a really cool animated film (preferably 2D) about all the villains attacking the good guys. It could be either really good or really cheesey... I'm not saying it would definutely work, but I think there's at least the possibility.

It's a Small World

1 hour in length, a Fantasia-like movie, showcasing animation from and about different areas of the world. It can open and close with the famous song and have a contraption of sorts that looks like the outside of the ride presenting everything.

I would defenitaly vote for Fantasmic for 2 reasons, first it is about the Villains , and it could be a great story. With all the effects, and magic it has great potential. There has not been a movie focused on Villains (besides the worthless Mickey's house of villains), and since the princesses are getting 3 movies this september, i would hope to see a Villain project in the future.

The only problem with making Big Thunder Mountain into a movie is it would have to be rated R because of the violence!

Hmm, maybe Peter Pan's Flight? Or maybe Snow White's Scary Adevntures? Ha! Just kidding!

Okay, really, let's see... I would say The Jungle Cruise. It's another old school "e-ticket" ride, with enough lee-way to actually insert a good plotline and stuff. It could work.

Nice! I didnt get to see the show when I went to Disney World last month but I think it would make a great movie. Nice to see those villains again! It would ahve to be animated.

I think I read somewhere that It's a Small World was going to be a 'global adventure' movie having to do with the UN and some important kids who got kidnapped or something, and it was going to be live action . . . I have no idea where I heard that, though, I'll have to try and remember. Anyway, my vote goes to that ride with Dreamland and Nightmareland that I went on when I was six - I have no idea what it was called or if it's still there, but I know there was a dragon named Figment. Sorry I can't bold the title . . . I don't know the title! Does anybody?

That would be Journey Into Imagination which was at EPCOT. Unfortunately, it's been redone twice over the past few years or so, and while Figment is still around, the Dreamfinder has vanished completely.
