I have only cried twice during the movies.

The first was Old Yeller which was Disney, come on everybody did admit it.

The second time was right after I watched Titanic - I couldnt believe I had just wasted three hours of my precious life for no good reason. That movie was such a load of crap.

I've never cried during a Disney movie, but I've come close a few times. The only one that springs to mind is when I watched the opening scene of The Lion King on my home theater w/ the beautiful surround sound... that got to me.

The only time I've ever actually cried during a movie was The Passion of the Christ, but a couple have come close, like Deep End of the Ocean and Big Fish. 8)

Not Disney, but I challenge any of you to not be holding back tears at the end of The Iron Giant....

I've never been near crying when I have watched a animated movie, it never touches me like that.

But I am realy touchy when it comes to real life, and storyes that you know are true like Schindlers List.

The closest I have come with Disney films (that I can think of right now) is probably the same part you mentioned in The Lion King, with Simba and Mufasa. Definitely a moving scene.

I'll admit, I have. I'm ... too sensitive. lol. Overly emotional. And I tend to latch onto Disney films, so ...

During Bambi, when I was little, I got distressed. I cried a bit. Yet I love the film ... but it was sad when the mom died. I got a bit teary-eyed during bits of Lilo & Stitch. Misty-eyed, I'll say. I even get sad when, in The Sword in the Stone, the girl squirrel finds out that Wart is a boy and not a squirrel. lol. I feel so bad for her!

Oh, and Rescuers Down Under, not so much because it was sad (as it wasn't), but because the movie brings back a lot of memories ... and The Lion King, yeah, is sad, when Mufasa dies ... I haven't really cried-cried during these films, but usually just ... yeah, misty-eyed, and ...

I have cried in a few movies (most recently while reviewing The Color Purple DVD ), including Gigli (just so glad it was over).

I think the closest I have come with a Disney movie was the end of The Little Mermaid (I have NO idea why) and the "death" in Beauty and the Beast (even though I KNEW it wasn't the end). The Lion King, as much as I love it, has always left me cold emotionally.

There's only two Disney movies that have made me cry. The "Baby Mine" scene from Dumbo, which is the saddest moment in Disney history, IMO (yes, sadder than Mufasa's death, which I admit didn't affect me much). The other is (rather ironically) "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh." The final scene strikes a chord with me because it's Christopher Robin saying goodbye to his childhood, something I'm still refusing to do at age 17. Plus the general idea of Pooh's perfect world where everything's safe and nothing can go seriously wrong gets to me, too.

I can't think of any non-Disney films that have made me cry, though The Passion of the Christ came very close.

I'm not sure there's any one film that makes me cry. however, at the old disney animation tour at the Disney/MGM Studios there was a film segment where they showed clips from all the different animated films. they went through happy songs and love moments in animation.....

but when they got to the sad stuff, i seriously about swallowed my throat and asked the person next to me for a tissue. memorable quotes/scenes in that segment are: (note: Baby Mine is playing in the background of all these scenes)

Mowgli talking to Baloo after the fight with Sheer Kahn, "Baloo, get up. Get up Baloo"

Simba walking up to his dead father's body, "Dad, get up. Dad?"

Dumbo having a tear come out of his eye meeting his mother locked up in the trailer, "Baby Mine, don't you cry"

Dopey crying at Snow White's vigil

Geppetto crying at the bed with Pinocchio layed out on it

Bambi calling for his mother in the snow, "Mother. Where are you mother? Mo-" The Great Prince, "Your mother can't be with you anymore."

Penny crying on her bed when she didn't get adopted, "They picked another girl because she was prettier than I am"

Belle crying over the Beasts body, "I love you"

try watching all these clips at once and any man will tell you that it gets to him.

Dumbo! During the "Baby Mine" scene. How could anyone not get emotional when they see that scene? :(

And in "Bambi", where he's trying to find his mother in the snow.

Well, I haven't really cried during movies, but I recall getting very misty eyed in a few.
I don't recall which movies, but I'm pretty sure that Dumbo was one of them. Other wise, I only got misty eyed during a few non-Disney movies. :P

It happens. Both Pollyanna and Old Yeller made my pillow wet. Also some of the animated movies did that, but I can't remember which ones.
