I was looking around for the lyrics to Tina Turner's "Great Spirits" from Brother Bear and I stumbled across this place with the supposed lyrics to the song. Now, these lyrics are nothing like the song on the soundtrack or in the movie for that matter. Is there another version out there somewhere? Or is this a previous version that was re-written?? :?

At first Phil Collins was suppose to sing "Great Spirits" but Tina Turner took the song while Phil Collins sang "On My Way" and " Take a look through my eyes".

I think that Phil Collins would have perform better then Tina Turner.
IMO :D

I agree! I like my movies loud, when I watched the movie for the first time, Tina Turner's voice was ear-shattering at some parts of the song. Now I just turn the volume down at the begining
I saw from the making of Brother Bear on the DVD that Phil Collins was originally going to sing the song. Could this be Phil Collin's original version and Tina Turner changed the lyrics? I dunno....I think the version that's in the movie is better than the lyrics on that other site anyway...

I have already listened to Phil's version of "Great Spirits". If I'm not mistaken, it was released on the CD of the soundtrack, but it was a version of the CD made especially for a certain store in the USA.
I like Phil's version, but I still think that Tina's version is the best one. It has a certain energy and punch to it that really puts you in the mood of the film.

I haven't heard Phil's version, but I was pleased to hear a little diversity. I don't like this trend of one person singing all the songs when it's not a musical.

I have Phil's version of "Great Spirits." It was exclusive to Best Buy. I think they still carry it.

I have the Brother Bear soundtrack.
Both versions are on the CD from Phil Collins and Tina Turner with the lyrics.

But I just listen to it recently and thought that Phil Collin's version of "Great Spirits" had better taste and could have gone better with the song.

Was there a music video ever release from Phil Collins or Tina Turner "Great Spirits?

Disney Channel only shows "Take a look through my eyes" from Phill Collins.

Is it on their website, or is it a special in-store thing? I was just looking for it and the only one I can find has the same track listing as the CD I already have.

It probably is the same version as in stores. The case for the Best Buy version has the same track list. The only way to know is if it has a yellow sticker on the front that says there is a Best Buy Exclusive Bonus Track. If you already own the sondtrack, I don't think that the one song is worth another $12 bucks, so I think the fact that you own all but one song is justification enough to download it. He He He. Or find someone with it and have them burn it for you. Then you can't get sued for it.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy the thing again just for 1 more song. I did, however, fire up WinMX today and I found it. After listening to it, I still think Tina Turner's verision is better
