That sounds great! I hope the original vocies of the princesses return for this!

Why is Gaston the Villain of the story, but Belle is not on this story?

I hope the other princesses get a LEGO special, too.

This seems like a holdover from when they were trying to launch a new line with the Lego Disney princesses interacting. Given that the tie-in book series got cancelled and content spending for Disney+ is being cut back, I doubt they'll be making more specials like this one.

I think it's a tie-in with this set.
There are no villains in that set, so the reasoning for Gaston is a mystery to me, but these specific Princesses being transported to a weird castle? Doesn't seem a coincidence.

I agree, having Gaston be the villain but not having Belle in it is super weird. I wonder who will voice Snow White? I'm assuming Jodi, Anika, Mandy and Auli'i will all reprise their roles.

It looks like a Robot Chicken parody. :what: First Ralph Breaks the Internet, now this... How much more character assassination and abject humiliation must the princesses suffer at the hand of modern Disney? :headshake:

I thought it was cute myself. An instant buy. I like the inclusion of the trident and Magic Mirror. But I did like the Wrecked Princesses and wish the spin-off of them had happened. I wouldn't want Wrecked versions to replace the original designs in the merchandise line itself so much as it could be its own, separate merch line.

EDIT: Oh, wait, this is a special, not a game. A shame, a game of this would've been fun, but I'll watch for sure.

Once again, I don't understand why this "LEGO Disney Princess: The Castle Quest" didn't recieve its own thread? :? Are we down on brandwitch or what is the deal here? :o I get that it's about the Disney Princesses, but still. Had it been me, I'd make a new thread for it. But that is just me, I guess...  It's not a diss, rather a confusion.

For me personally, it's removed enough from the Disney canon for me to feel okay about it (for now). The self-referential-ness of the Wrecked Princesses felt really dissonant in a theatrical feature film from Walt Disney Animation, but I have long wanted a proper crossover for the Disney Princesses and the ahem deconstructiveness inherent in the Lego property feels like the right place to play around with the idea.

Love seeing Ariel front and center.

Though, the arrangement on the poster makes it look like Triton and Gaston are in cahoots.

I might be looking too much into this, but that poster was posted by Disney Animation's Twitter. Did WDAS actually create this special?

And I agree, it does look like Triton & Gaston are in cahoots lol.

Just watched it, it was Overall ok but it was really annoying how after the princesses Split up into 2 groups that they changed the Focus on them every 30 seconds and u couldnt concentrate whats happening  When SnowWhite was singing to the birds so they would attack the trees reminded me automatically on Shrek 3, actually the whole movie reminded me on the Shrek Princesses but turned into Disney, loved that the original VA for the Princesses returned! :D

Nope they were not in the credits, but I was thinking they promoted it due to showcasing their characters
