Today's the day that Luke finally set up a viable message system for his site!!

Hehe... just kidding, Luke! But anyhoo, two years ago today the phpBB Ultimate Disney forum was opened to the public, switched over from the old OneCenter.com format - http://forum.onecenter.com/disneydvd - to a better, stronger, faster forum... with no condom ads!!

Several of the forum's steadfast members signed up opening day, as well - including Loomis, MickeyMouseboy, Jake Lipson, poco, Disney Kid, Satoshi, and Cinderelly. I'm borderline, apparently - depending on the time zone, I could be considered a "first day" account... hehe. Plus, Loomis signed up from the future, so he's got an advantage.

Since it's first year mark, many people have joined the discussions, and traffic is higher than it's ever been! Though recently the forums have come down with a mild case of the n00bs, it'll calm down with a bit of patience and guidance on the vets' part, methinks.

So have a happy second anniversary, you good ol' UD Forum, you!!

Even though it's not the real anniversary, it's as good a time as any to say "Thanks" to Luke for providing a place where Disney fans of all kinds can come and discuss their opinions.
In my case, none of my friends like Disney, so this is the only place I can talk about it, without anyone telling me to shut-up.

Oh, you remembered!

I must say as much as I miss having to read each message as a separate page, accompanied by a pop-up ad for Iraqi playing cards or a free prophylactic, there's something nice about this forum. And since switching webhosts last fall, there really hasn't been any problems like the previous webhost's inability to keep the forum up.

But that's all technical stuff, and the forum wouldn't be anything without all of you who put thought into your posts and make this little community a fun and interesting place to be. Sure, there's been a few bad apples, but on the whole, this is a great batch of people bound by a common interest. So thanks to all of you who make this forum what it is!

I'm very glad of how we've grown in one year here, and in the 2 years or so since the site first added a message board.

Wow, scary that it's already been a whole year of UD's forums... Anyway, congrats!

I wasn't here for the launch, but I think I'm approaching half a year as a member (well, maybe not quite yet), so I'll take this opportunity to thank Luke and everyone here as well. I remember when I found the site, it was very exciting, and I've thoroughly enjoyed the time I've spent here. In addition to the wealth of resources, information, and breaking news that is UD.com, the message board provides a pleasant spot for interaction with friendly and knowledgeable people who enjoy Disney and have fun whilest making valuable contributions to discussions. So, happy sorta-birthday to Ultimate Disney!

definetly the best place to go if you are not in the know about DISNEY DVD!!! Spend a day or two in here and you become an expert compared to the average person. Im obviously newer, but you all have taught me quite a lot! Thanks so much. Big Snaps to Luke
