Who is the worst Disney Villain in your opinion?

I would say Bowler Hat Guy who was annoying, King Candy who was too much of a rip-off of the Mad Hatter, King Runeard who was just a symbol of colonialism, Hans who was merely a plot device and not really a character, and I guess all the faux villains in recent films who aren't interesting enough to even mention.

Clayton and Callaghan are it for me. Edgar and Gantu are somewhere behind them. Ratcliffe is an okay villain who would work in another movie, but is ill-suited to Pocahontas. Callaghan when masked was pretty good, and they did give him a good motivation, he's just not interesting at all once he's revealed even though he should've been. Most of the PIXAR villains are the same way.

Bellwether is in that same zone, but doesn't bother me as much. I think the twist was fun considering it's a cop mystery sort of movie, but she doesn't have much screen presence at all once she's been revealed as the villain. Hans is really the only twist villain from WDAS that worked for me separate from the twist itself; the only failure in regards to that character for me is that he didn't die at the end. Of PIXAR's villains, I think only Waternoose, Randall, Anton Ego, Skinner, and Syndrome work.

For me, as I get older, I've come to see the villains in a different light. Someone like Sykes or McLeach may not be the most exciting villains, but they are realistic and willing to harm kids and animals, so in my older years, they've risen in my ranks.

I guess Foxy Loxy would be my least favorite, on the basis of her "villainy.".

I think it'll kind of be different based on criteria. I automatically think of someone like Edgar, mostly because his plan is flawed and it's execution is just silly. His intention is purely bad though so he gets some credit there. King Candy/Turbo has a ok twist, but I really find him annoying and like Sotiris said, a complete rip-off of Mad Hatter.

My least favorite villain used to be Shan-Yu. And that was mainly because of the reasons most people have issue with: His lack of personality. He looks scary and fearsome, but lacks the charisma and "it" factor that truly makes a Disney villain great. He rather embodies what a villain is about than actually being a truly memorable villain. I used to find Clayton rather underwhelming too, but lately he`s grown on me, as I find him to have more spark and personality that most people give him credit for. But the main issue with him is that he`s shoehorned in and adds an external conflict to Tarzan when the internal conflict is essentially enough for the third act of the movie.

Otherwise, my least favorite villain is Prince John from Robin Hood. Mainly because I find him downright whiny and a manchild.

I'm not a fan of the villains during the 70's-80's films, except Ratigan. Medusa is alright I guess, but she's just a wannabe Cruella.

I don't hate Shan Yu or Clayton, but they are more on the weaker side of the Renaissance villains, though the weakest of them is Ratcliffe in my opinion. Rourke was just a less interesting Clayton. I don't even remember the villains from post Treasure Planet pre TPatF films. What's his name from Home on the Range was pretty ridiculous.

And I agree with what was said about the Twist Villains (King Candy, Hans, Bellwether and that one from Big Hero 6). They are more of a plot device than actual characters. I know that Clayton and Rourke might be considered "Twist Villains" but at least their personalities didn't change 180° when it was revealed that they are bad.
