What's your favorite Hand Drawn film in scope? How would you rank them?

Sleeping Beauty
Lady and the Tramp
Atlantis
The Black Cauldron
Brother Bear

The first two are pure artistry and craftsmanship. Atlantis is a great adventure with awesome animation. Black Cauldron has so much potential... and Brother Bear sinks lower in my estimation every time I watch it. Should watch the behind the scenes documentary again though, that usually ups my admiration.

( The last two are pretty interchangeable to me. I’m not really a fan of either.)

I may be a bit biased, but I don't really see how anyone can choose anything but Sleeping Beauty in this category. I think a lot can be said against it's story, or maybe the style is not your taste, but it's undoubtedly made for this medium and tries to capitalize on it to a fault. So it no surprise it's my number 1!

My very favorite used to be Atlantis, but now it`s changed. Mainly because I`ve gotten more aware of it`s flaws during the years (juvenile comedy, rushed writing). But I still like it for what it is.

I really like the first three, while the last two are among my least favorite Disney classics.

Absolutely, singerguy04! I mean, Lady and the Tramp only went to Scope after a lot of it was already animated in Academy Ratio! On that note, at least The Black Cauldron can say it was meant for Scope, as were the others besides Lady. I actually think Sleeping Beauty has a lot of plot. And great fairy characters. It's just the emotion I find lacking. It's Disney's most beautiful film. This time, design trumps the others.

Imo, there’s really no comparison to the artistry and sheer beauty of SB and LATT with the other three, as entertaining as they are.
