20th Century Studios' "Escape from New York" Reboot

Multiple websites (including Deadline) are reporting that the directorial collective known as "Radio Silence" (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and Chad Villella) have been signed to direct a reboot of the 1981 film "Escape from New York" for 20th Century Studios.
The original film's director, John Carpenter, will serve as an executive producer; while the owner of the original film, French company StudioCanal, will distribute the film in select territories.
