Lindsay’s gone back to acting and seems to be doing well. And I loved Curtis in Everything, Everywhere all at Once, which was such a hilarious performance.

I say let’s go. Could be a fun Disney+ original.

If Jamie Lee Curtis is interested, this seems like an obvious yes for Disney, even if they had to re-cast Lohan (which sounds like they wouldn't have to).

There's a part of me that's really rooting for Lindsay. I've always thought she was a great actress who fell into some cruel circumstances. As happy as I would be for her to get some work, I think she's more than capable for some meatier films if given the chance. It seems like Hollywood is finally ready to give her a chance since recovery, but I feel like a movie like this wouldn't help her.

Unless it's a smash hit, then what do I know?

Lohan acknowledged that Curtis had reached out to her about the sequel while she was on the set of her holiday movie. “I was on set filming at the time and Jamie Lee Curtis writes you, you just get excited and distracted immediately,” she recalled. “So I had to bring myself down to Earth and be like, ‘OK, I’m on set, I have to focus.’ And then she said Freaky Friday 2 and I got more excited.” Lohan then said that she and Curtis “would both be into” making another film based on their Freaky Friday characters.

I saw Jamie Lee in Halloween Ends last week.

The only Freaky Friday I like is the original with Jodie Foster and the fabulous Barbara Harris.

Did you know she originated the role of Daisy Gamble in On A Clear Day You Can See Forever on Broadway? Streisand played the role in the film.

A source EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife that the actress is eying a sequel to her 2003 cult comedy classic Freaky Friday to do exactly that… and she’s even been discussing the project with her co-star from the original: Jamie Lee Curtis!

“[Lindsay and Jamie Lee] are certain that they are going to make this happen and they have a ton of incredibly talented and willing people around them who are extremely determined to get this project off the ground and in the works,” the insider began. “They already have a plot developed and are talking with several different studios and producers who are all extremely interested.”

Certainly, fans are freaking out over a possible Freaky Friday 2, but it appears Lindsay might also be having a moment, as it would mean another step in the right direction. “For Lindsay, it is coming full circle,” the source explained. “She is getting a second chance at her career, and she is determined to do it right this time. When she did Freaky Friday, that catapulted her into stardom. As she sits at the pinnacle of her massive comeback, she knows that this film will mean so much to her, just as it will to Jamie Lee.”

A second source close to the Herbie: Fully Loaded vet EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife that, all jokes aside, the dynamic duo are serious about reuniting. “Lindsay and Jamie Lee Curtis may seem like they are kidding about Freaky Friday 2, but it is anything but joking. Lindsay has been talking with Jamie Lee on many phone calls and both are into this, to the point they are already talking about how they are going to block out the time in their schedules.”

So its officially really happening its probably gonna be a disney plus movie but still excited

Since Freaky Friday is one of my all time fav Disney movies and is way better than the 70s movie. Although i know it will probably suck, like almost every sequel to a disney cult classic lately, im still looking forward and will have fun watching, while promising myself that i will never watch it again, like with Disenchanted lol . Jamie Lee Curtis' character will probably be the grandma now, Lindsay Lohan is gonna be mother and the gender of the child will be interesting, if its a girl, its just gonna be generational conflict all over again, but if its a boy, specially a teenage boy, ESPECIALLY when hes secretely gay or something ( not like in those tasteless movie lately which have gay characters for no reason at all ) they could play with the idea how they percieve the life of a boy vs a mother, thinking the other gender has it way easier than them and proving it wrong with their switch, especially since we have toxic masculinity going on and women still being underestimated, especially in working Positions, but not as much as back then, but still. But I can see Disney seeing this as too risky, especially the toxic masculinity part.

But if its just girls it could still be fun, especially when they will focus on Jamie Lee Curtis' character having an identity crises and not being ready to be labled as a grandma and maybe secretely getting those Fortune cookies and switching places with her preteen granddaughter to feel young again or something. Lindsay Lohans character would later on find out about the switch and then Jamie Lee Curtis character will learn that while childhood is cool, being a mother and grandmother is the best thing she could be or something like that. But this would suck if they would push Lohans character aside.
So I really hope they will go with the toxic masculinity vs underappreciated women conflict.

The only Freaky Friday I recognize is the Barbara Harris/Jodie Foster original from 1977.

Isn't this rather insulting to Lindsay Lohan? She just became a mom in real life but in this movie, she's the mom of a teenager??? Like is she even old enough to have a child that age?

Lohan will be 38 in 4 months. She could definitely have a teenage kid.
