The art book will be released on May 16, 2023. A month before the movie is released, which is surprising cause it might have spoilers for the movie.

It was recently revealed that Thomas Newman will be the film's composer.

Here are also some new book covers and a look at two new characters from a package of Band-Aids:

That's a good description of what the movie looks like. I'm a little more excited for it after learning more about the inspiration behind it and its themes, but still not too much. Personally, I'm not sure it'll do well in theaters, but we'll see. We haven't even seen a full trailer yet. Perhaps the movie will look better when we know more about it.

Are art books usually released closer to when the movie opens? I don't remember now if they do.

Was this movie ever actually confirmed to feature a love story, not just a friendship? That is the only thing that would make me excited about this film. But even in “Toy Story 4”, the relationship between Bo Peep and Woody was only substantial.

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed? At least I thought it was just another buddy roadtrip to begin with and then there was something or other that seemed to spotlight this as a romance. I think there's some scene described where the male water character takes the fire character on a date to a ballgame or something? Someone more knowledgeable will have to confirm though, this isn't one I'm following that closely.

By the way, it doesn't seem like people are excited for this film based on the comments and quotes of this tweet.

I'm sure we have those people to thank for Toy Story 5 and Inside Out 2.

I'm not excited, I'm still in a wait and see mode. right now it sounds a little generic, and after lightyear I'm gonna need more proof they can put out something truly great for the time being.
Its not just pixar, I have little faith in Disney as well these days.

That doesn't mean I wanted toy story 5 to happen. I'm cautious on that as well. And definitely didn't need inside out 2.

I have no expectations for this too, but I'll still go to see it in theaters. From the very moment they announced this film, it sounded like someone's doing a parody of Pixar movies, and the scenes they have described, like the one with the "wave" at a hockey game, sound mundane and unclever. I also don't really understand this world - there are "elements" people, but also real elements, how does that work?

I have more interest in Wish despite thinking its premise is also kind of dumb, but I'm worried of getting excited because I know the film will disappoint me eventually.

A recent Copyright filing may offer additional vocal cast details for Pixar’s Summer 2023 film, Elemental.

Elemental is set to release in theaters on June 16, 2023, but a recent Copyright record may offer additional details on the Elemental vocal cast. We stress that it may reveal more details because this was filed in December, is a “Preregistration” filing record, and is not confirmed by Pixar.

Our ears were first attuned to a new character named Lutz when Collider reported about Denise Ream’s presentation at the Disney CCPX panel on December 2, 2022. Collider noted –

We also got to see a game of airball, which Ream herself described as “basketball meets skydiving.” One of the players is Lutz, who needs a lot of cheering on after feeling discouraged at a match. This prompts Wade Ripple to start a wave of cheer at the stadium – but since most fans are water-based, they are able to conjure up a literal wave.

Wade Cheers on the Windbreakers at Cyclone Stadium in Elemental
Following the Collider article, Pixar Post Forum user Plantthe24 noticed several character names filed under the Copyright website (Bernie, Brook, Cinder, Clod, Fern, Gale, and Lutz). This enticed us to look further, and we found another Copyright entry with additional character names and actors listed.

So, again, take the list with a grain of salt, but the names are listed below. There are some notable inclusions like Catherine O’Hara or even Ronnie del Carmen (who departed Pixar in 2020 to direct a feature at Netflix).

POTENTIAL ELEMENTAL VOCAL CAST
Below is a list of potential actors who may offer their talents to Pixar’s Elemental.

Wade Ripple – Mamadou Athie
Ember Lumen – Leah Lewis
Alan – Matt Yang King
Bernie – Ronnie del Carmen
Brook – Catherine O’Hara
Cinder – Shila Ommi
Clod – Mason Wertheimer
Eddy – Krysta Gonzales
Fern – Joe Pera
Flarrietta – Wilma Bonet
Flarry – Jonathan Adams
Gale – Wendi McLendon-Covey
Ghibli – Maya Aoki Tuttle
Harold – Ronobir Lahiri
Lake – Ava Hauser
Lutz – Vocal actor unknown
Marco – Dylan Buccieri
Polo – Innocent Ekakitie

The second cover I posted confirms Clod is the name of a character from the movie. I think Lutz and Cinder are the other two names on it, so that vocal cast is probably accurate. It's interesting that the actors were listed on that Copyright record, I don't think that normally happens. There aren't many well-known ones, right? The only names I recognize are Catherine O'Hara and Ronnie del Carmen, who is a Pixar artist.

Yes, that has been confirmed.

That concept art is from a video that played at the Pixar booth at D23 which was posted on page 2 of this thread, but it hadn't been posted as images. Apparently, Ember rides some kind of motorbike in the last one. I wonder if she's a delivery girl.

Yeah, that doesn't make sense to me either.

There wasn't a trailer during the Oscars. Lightyear got a full trailer on February 8th last year, but this got nothing so far. I have a feeling Disney doesn't have any faith in this movie.

That’s not true. I’ve already seen a trailer for it from one of those surveys on cine.vote. We should be getting it later this week or before the end of this month as the trailer is said to play before Shazam 2 and Mario. Stop with these conspiracy theories.

This may be a wonderful film, but for me, the character designs are a real turn-off.
They don’t look like them, but they actually give me a similar vibe as m&m candies. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Characters look bad and they make the film look like it is aimed for little children.

The fire characters on the left look like they could be Ember's parents.

Regarding the other images you posted, I saw them a while ago, but I thought it was fanart. I guess they're actually leaked images of ideas for the film's promotional campaign. Here are some more:

Yeah, though they're quite short, they seem to have adult faces. The two water characters on the right, though, look like kids. Maybe they're Wade's little brothers or nephews.

By the way, the press day for the film just took place and The Pixar Post has posted some images:

Peter Sohn recently said the trailer would be released soon and since the press day has already taken place, I guess it's true. He also confirmed this character is called Clod and revealed he's "a friendly neighborhood earth kid".
