Well, this change wasn`t such a surprise. But I guess they`ve changed the date due to a certain pandemic.

I guess so. It's a shame the following expo won't take place in 2023 when the actual anniversary is. Well, unless they decide to organize the event two years in a row.

Is it just me or does the castle in this poster look very Hogwarts-y? Like a lot more than normal?

I kind of see it, yeah.

I'm looking forward to learning more about panels, and who'll be inducted as Disney Legends this year. I have a couple of guesses:

-Chris Hemsworth
-Chris Evans
-Dan Castellaneta
-Julie Kavner
-Nancy Cartwright
-Yeardley Smith
-Hank Azaria
-Harry Shearer

Disney has announced the time of the panels for this year's D23 Expo:

Friday, 9/9:
–Disney Live Action, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar (3:30 PM).

Saturday, 9/10:
–Marvel Studios and Star Wars (10 AM).
–Disney Branded Television (3:30 PM).

Well, it`s about time! But it`s remarkable how the majority of the tickets have already been sold out! Which was much sooner than last Expo three years ago!

Btw, wondering if we`ll gonna get Anniversary panels for both Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. Since both of them had their Anniversaries recently.

I like that the Disney presentations are not on the same day as the Marvel/Star Wars ones, as I believe has been the case in the past. That way it's more likely they'll get proper media coverage and won't be upstaged by the content from the other studios.

That would be great.

I'm glad the site is back before D23 and hopefully it won't go down again.

My speculation for what we will get to see:

Disney Live Action:
The Little Mermaid teaser
Disenchanted trailer
First look at Snow White, Maleficent 3, The Lion King 2.

Disney Animation:
Strange World trailer
Zootopia+ trailer
Iwaju teaser?
First look at Tiana/Moana shows?
2023 title announcement and concept art reveal.

Pixar:
Elemental teaser
Win or Lose trailer?
2024 titles announcement and concept art reveal.

I agree with most of your guesses. I don't know if we'll get so many trailers/teasers, though. Well, maybe they'll be screened for the people in attendance, but I don't remember we getting many during past expos, but mostly logos, concept art, casting announcements and things like that, and then descriptions of footage from attendees, but maybe I'm wrong.

I do think we'll get a Disenchanted teaser trailer, though. Most fall movies have already gotten trailers, so the fact this movie hasn't yet probably means they're saving it for D23. A musical performance is also possible, but again, only for the people there.

I'm most excited for the potencial announcements of new WDAS and Pixar films, but also for news on Disenchanted or the Tiana and Moana TV series. I'm also looking forward to the Marvel content, especially about the Black Panther sequel, whose teaser trailer was amazing in my opinion, though of course, I'm always more excited about Disney.

The Disney Legends Awards Ceremony will be livestreamed here in around an hour (10:30 AM PST). I think this is the first time they do that, right? Here's a list of all the content that will be livestreamed during the expo. The big panels, of course, will only be for people in attendance. Here's the full D23 schedule. The WDAS, Pixar and Disney live-action presentation will begin at 3:30 PM PST (6 hours from now) and will last a couple of hours.

Are you planning to stay awake for the announcements or will you catch up with them in the morning?

Are you asking me? Yes, I'll stay awake. I'm very excited for today's presentation. Plus, I wouldn't be able to sleep anyway knowing all these things are being announced.

That's great. I hope the presentation will be worth staying up late for you. It's also great that the forum was back in time for this. It'll be much more fun being able to comment everything here with everybody.
