I've come across messages like this recently, but if there's a thread in which you can have movie vs song, character vs song, movie vs movie, etc, then let me know.

For me, I'd choose Beauty and the Beast as unlike Dumbo who was teased a lot, Belle was only ridiculed at the beginning by the villagers by calling her odd, strange and peculiar and the Beast saving her is one of my favourite moments in Disney. I havn't seen the live-action movies of last year and the year before, but I reckon the amount of peanuts Dumbo squirted at his aunts would be just enough to send Gaston off the roof before stabbing the Beast.

I don’t want to diminish Dumbo. It’s one of Disney's greatest. Dumbo himself is adorable and one of the most sympathetic characters in the Disney canon; the elephant troupe are both hilarious and an effective reflection of the world; a strong soundtrack, with “Baby Mine” being my favorite. Amazing how much the film makes you feel despite Dumbo and his mother never saying a word. Still, it’s almost no contest for me. B&tB wins this one by far. It’s the quintessential Disney film, imo. Phenomenal music, storytelling, characters, comedy, designs, voice acting, dialogue, etc.

Aww, this is a really unfair comparison, because other than the fact that the two main characters are seen as odd by those around them, these two films couldn't be more different. But, if I were to chose my favorite, I'd definitely go with Beauty and the Beast. Dumbo is a great movie, and I like its simplistic art style and sweet story, but Beauty and the Beast is a far superior movie.

Beauty and the Beast! It has like a million more things going for it and is way more complex! It's huge!
