Disney View: Why Disney stopped doing it?

I really like Disney View and that´s how I watch the "full screen" Disney movies. There maybe people out there that don´t like it...but that was the great thing about it: it was optional.

However, Disney stopped doing it and I´d like to know why...though, I think I may know the reason: Laziness.

Don´t know if for #6 - #11 movies Disney View had them but if it wasn´t done there (with exception of Sleepy Hollow) I wouldn´t have minded because of their nature (I´m not interested in them anyways). And I´m not sure if that was the case for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (hasn´t been released on BD in Spain) but Disney View wasn´t included in Peter Pan, 101 Dalmatians (these 2 weren´t released as Diamond Editions although I´d guess the content and transfer are the same) and The Sword in the Stone. So, why?

On one hand I like that feature (a clever way to fill the screen without taking from the movie or altering it). And, on the other, I´m a completist and hate to know that just few movies were left without it. If Disney View was done to a couple then I wouldn´t have minded. But to know that just a handful of them didn´t get it makes me really upset.

PS

I say that laziness is the reason for stopping the Disney View feature as we all know how Disney started with great DVD/BD releases and, with time, they got worse and worse.

All my Signature Collection has them including Peter Pan and 101 Dalmatians. The Sword in the Stone doesn't have it because the film is presented in 1.75, and I think all films from that era are presented that way or in 1.66, which is still considered widescreen, so they won't have it as well.
So all the films from 1937-1953 and 101 Dalmatians do have them in the US. Perhaps only the Spanish/European Blu-rays dropped them?

101 Dalmatians and Peter Pan in Spain I think are based on the UK Blu-ray editions from 2012, and DisneyView for 101 Dalmatians and Peter Pan were not yet created then.

Many adventures of Winnie the Pooh do not have DisneyView on the Scandinavian Blu-ray release from 2012.

That´s good to know then. I´ll keep that in mind and in the distant future I may get those Signature Editions and replace the discs (would keep the cases just because of the numbers in the spine.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh has it as well? What about the rest?

Thanks.

I don't have The Many Adventurs of Winnie the Pooh on Blu-ray, but I guess it doesn't have it since it's presented in 1.66 and these usually don't have Disney View. 101 Dalmatians is the last film on Blu-ray that has 1.33 aspect ratio so anything afterwards won't have it.

Disney View was just created for the 1:33 aspect ratio films because general audiences complained about the black bars on the sides. Winnie the Pooh had a 1:66 aspect ratio so they didn't feel the need to fill the black. Personally I would have preferred a 1:33 aspect ratio for the film like the DVDs and VHS.

I tried watching some of the films with DisneyView, mainly because I'm afraid of burn-in in the screen but I just find it distracting. Do people like the DisneyView feature?
