They better do it right then. Dracula in the Blade movie had not much in common with Marvel's classic Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan stories. Neither was Blade a tattooed gangsta and a vampire immune to sunlight. In the comics he looked like he was partly inspired by shaft, and was a human immune to vampire bites (back then being bitten made you a vampire, you didn't have to drink vampire blood for the transformation to happen). Hannibal King was a tormented private investigator and a vampire living in the closet, denying his own vampire nature. Not a wisecracking human. And the silver haired Deacon Frost was not a smartass punk with stubbles and a cigarette in his mouth.

It's a pity that the rights for Spider-Woman are owned by Sony because I always liked her 70s comic book, especially in the first run where she dealt primarily with supernatural and other horror-based characters. If I'm correct, Werewolf by Night popped up in her book too. She would have made a great addition to all these other supernatural based characters like Blade, Moon Knight, etc.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Werewolf by Night
will take the form of a one-hour Marvel Studios Halloween special, set for release on Disney+ in the fall of 2022, although Werewolf by Night will (according to sources) not be the project's final title.

The article also revealed that Gael Garcia Bernal and Laura Donnelly will star in the project and that it will be directed by Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino.

Giacchino is not a directing newbie, as he has previously directed a 2018 short film entitled Monster Challenge and the Star Trek: Short Treks episode "Ephraim and Dot" for Paramount+.
