Not really. In summer 2019, he announced the show would be coming to Broadway in 2020. He hadn't specified the month though.

Oh, I see now. Strange so much was announced for the West End production in terms of casting and the creative team and not a peep about Broadway, especially with such close opening dates.

Here's a new video with ALW & a couple others talking about the show: https://youtu.be/ddhAmEzm2OM (Oooh, and a snippet of a song at the end! Sounds good to me!)

Oh no!! I see that now- sorry about that! Apparently I haven't closely followed this thread the whole time. I subscribed to ALW's The Show Must Go On YouTube channel, and I got an alert about this video being posted, so I assumed it was new.

It's ok Amy. I was just a little sad no one read my post. But you meant no harm. It's all good!

On Twitter, Andrew Lloyd Webber has released the first full song from Cinderella, “Far Too Late,” sung by Carrie Hope Fletcher: https://twitter.com/officialalw/status/ ... 82945?s=21

He basically ripped off How Does A Moment Last Forever.

Yeah, I hear it too. I mean, Webber, does have a reputation of getting a little too "inspired" by other songs.

I didn't hear what you guys heard that was similar to "How Does A Moment Last Forever" at first, but listening for it the second time, I do hear what you mean. Still, I think the song is different enough, and it's very pretty! Thanks UmbrellaFish!

“Bad Cinderella” is the first single from the show to be released. You can listen to it on Spotify, Apple Music, etc.- https://andrewlloydwebberscinderella.com/

I... don’t like it. Although I think this is meant to be a pop arrangement, and not necessarily reflective of how it will sound in the show. In any case, I think the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization might have cause to sue...

I like it. It's kind of catchy!

I’m really turned off by the chorus of the song being effectively “In My Own Little Corner” from R&H’s Cinderella. If it was only used once, I could live with that... but it’s half the song. I can’t believe he can get away with so blatantly ripping off that famous song...

A few of the notes are, but then the part right after that part reminds me of an Irish folk song that I can't remember the name of at the moment...

I have listened to snippets of the song that have the chorus in it and I don't like that it sounds so much like "In My Own Little Corner" either. I can't tell if you're joking UmbrellaFish, but I don't think the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization could sue over the slight similarity.

So Cinderella is Marie Antoinette? I don't understand this. Why would anyone want a "bad" Cinderella?

That commercial is completely... the opposite of what I thought this production was going to be??? Not saying that that is where they’re actually headed creatively... it could just be an ad campaign. But it seems like a bad one.

Or is it... going to be a sequel now? Idk. Very confusing. Not very Cinderella-y.
