Even though I love Animaniacs, I'm skeptical of a reboot. Animaniacs was so special and unique, I have a hard time believing they'll be able to capture lightning in a bottle again.

Eh, in a way I'm happy for Animaniacs' commentary on a different world (in animation and otherwise), but I have to admit I was never a big fan of the original myself. I mean, it was funny, but some of the characters I found incredibly annoying--especially Wakko and Dot. I usually just watched to see Slappy, and Pinky and the Brain.

Well, let's hope that this reboot will be something worthy to the original series. I loved the show when was I kid and I do have a nostalgia for it. And yes, many of the satirical references went over my head as a kid. Wakko was my favorite of the Warner siblings, he was so endearing and I loved his cap and his accent.

Not disney but seeing as this is kind of a catch all 2D thread to an extent, I'm really pumped to see this. Looks like its on the right track in almost every way. Same voices, same look, full orchestrated music. Only question mark left is how the writing will be with these new guys. Well, that and how things look in motion.

Wow, it really feels like the original show and not some weird reboot that barely ties into the original like most of Disney's new shows (the 7D, 101 Dalmatians on the Street or whatever it's called, etc.)

Katie Rice and Jessica Borutski, who are probably two of the best character designers working in television animation today, are heavily involved in the new "Animaniacs." Not to mention Steven Spielberg remains a major presence in the series. So the animation will definitely remain of high quality for the revival.

That's heartening to hear. I'm glad they're giving the show the proper respect it is due unlike Disney's animated TV projects.

Well, the style is not as bad as you could fear. Though it's far from the league Animaniacs truly looked.

A brand-new version of the iconic family-friendly cartoon series for the whole family as the Warner siblings, Yakko and Wakko, and the Warner sister Dot, have a great time wreaking havoc and mayhem in the lives of everyone they meet. After returning to their beloved home, the Warner Bros. Water Tower, the Animaniacs waste no time in causing chaos and comic confusion as they run loose through the studio and beyond, turning the world into their personal playground. Joining Yakko, Wakko and Dot, fan-favorite characters Pinky and the Brain will also return to continue their quest for world domination in each of the 13 episodes.

Executive producers Steven Spielberg, Sam Register, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey and Wellesley Wild. Gabe Swarr serves as co-executive producer. Animaniacs is produced by Amblin Television in association with Warner Bros. Animation. The show will return to Hulu for a second 13-episode season in 2021.
