In addition to the seven that are out. We're also going to get the wave 3 coming out on May 18. Then hopefully in December wave 4. But after that how many more waves? Two or three?

They have no reason to stop making them, unless they stop saling well, or unless those actively involved want to quit. Other than that, they have a nearly endless wealth of subject material so I don't see them ending any time soon.

I personally will keep buying them as long as Disney keeps making them. I am only 18 and a huge fan of Disney. I have a huge disadvantage of not having been alive during the days that these rare gems where popular. I love all of the history and glimpses of how things once where. I don't care much for the few episodes of "Zorro" that I have seen, but I would definatley buy a Treasures set at least for the bonus features, and then I'd probably get hooked on it like I did with "Davy Crockett." I hope Disney never stops the Treasures and I hope they continue to make them in a new medium when DVD's are a thing of the past. Hey, then there could be Treasure sets about the generation of Disney that I am a part of. Maybe a "Ducktales" Treasure set someday!

what in the name of common sense would lead any of you to believe that ducktales might be included in a walt disney treasure set...

Being 18 myself, I sympathize. I wish I would have been buying Treasures all along, but before I got big-time into collecting Disney DVDs, I had only seen these once or twice and kind of glanced over them, not really knowing what they were. So now I'll have to buy them as they come out and try to round up the cash to buy the old ones too, ESP. the Disneyland one- I want that very badly.

I would think that there are at least 4 or 5 more waves worth of stuff out there, and that's just the old stuff.

I would love to see a set of miscallenaous shorts, like Ben and Me, Football Now and Then, the Humphrey and Woodlore shorts. Plus all the I'm No Fool shorts too.

Ducktales - a treasures set? I dont think so.

Although if Disney ever wanted to get off its rear about complete seasons box sets - this one would be a good idea. Just do House of Mouse first.

Amen brother.

After going through hell (i.e. eBay) to get the ones I didn't have, I can proudly point to that shelf and say "Look, it IS complete".

However, I do wonder how many more Waves there can be before there starts to be filler. Certainly, there are at least 2 or more Waves of unreleased animated shorts to come, as well as various "themes" from the Disneyland episodes (such as Tomorrowland) or the Mickey Mouse Club etc, but I'd hate to see the quality diluted just so wave after wave can be released. However, with True Life Adventures; Mickey Mouse Club; and most of the Disneyland episodes still untapped, I hope to see them going for a while.

I just purchased the Tresure Chest from Costco last friday and I havent been able to put these things down since. I hope disney keeps them coming for a looong time. Its great seeing all these shorts I havent seen for a long time(even though Im also 18, which kinda shows how I would think a Disney Afternoon Treasure set would be a fun idea, even though I sort of doubt Leonard Malton would care for it.A regular season boxed set would be good enough for me).

I guess it wouldn't hurt to remind everyone that the Walt Disney Treasures series was initially created to preserve the history of the works of Disney - mainly the Walt Disney years. There is enough cartoons, live-action featurettes, and Wonderful World of Disney type TV shows to fill four sets a year for our lifetime. How much of this the Disney Company would consider marketable is another matter entirely.

Of course, the reasoning can change to more recent Disney works if the Disney Company decides there is money to be made that way.

Well, as time progresses, "newer" stuff now will become older and more applicable. Also, I think that good Treasures sets could be made down the road that really go in-depth behind the scenes and history of the Disney theme parks, like never before. But those would require more new production, which might make it more expensive than Disney would desire.

I don't know how much of a Treasure-size set it could fill up, but I would love to see something like this on Walt Disney's personal plans, and the extent of his plans, for what we now know as Walt Disney World. From what I understand, only a fraction of the land that he purchased down there has been developed.
