I received this email from the Disney Movie Club after I declined my title of the month. Look at the bottom! This Pocahontas Bluray! I hope all the features are in the disc and not online and we finally get the special edition version as well!

It better include the extended version of the film.

I am so excited for this new release! Disney seems to be re-releasing some of their older titles so that they now come with digital HD copies.

Yes, it had better. I know Disney got a lot of complaints and emails about the extended edition not being included, so hopefully that means they are taking the chance to fix that here. I also hope the abysmal sequel is NOT included in any shape or form (and I don't think it will be because the above text doesn't mention anything about a 2-pack or 2-movie collection so there's hope). Lastly, I hope all the bonus features that were stuck in the virtual disc are actually included this time (technically they were on the blu-ray disc, but just locked).

Not a fan of buying this film for the fifth time, but depending on what is in it, I might bend. I love Pocahontas, it's a great film.

Thanks for reporting!! I'd be happy to replace all the titles that originally didn't come with HD DC's with new reissues which will include them.

Oh, wow! I never expected this. I refused to buy any of the 2-movie collections (with the exception of Hunchback). I have been putting off importing the U.K. versions of those titles, but if this means we can expect to see Fox and the Hound, Hunchback, Mulan, Emperor's New Groove and Lilo & Stitch in solo releases with digital copies and (one can only hope) special features, I'll pick ALL of them up.

I've been searching for more information about this new edition and i've seen in blu-ray.com that this edition is going to be released in two days :S

I know they're clip-art-y, but I love those covers. Simplistic and the titles are horizontal! Too bad I already own these two....

Will we ever get rid of that god-awful Pocahontas clip-art? It's hideous. The Mulan cover is not half bad but is there a reason why a DVD is not included in the set? It's just seems so odd and random to include one for Pocahontas but not one for Mulan. Also, the person who first posted the pic said that these are just re-issues and the discs themselves will be the same as the previous releases.

These releases just scream tie-in for the new Disney Princess campaign by having the "princesses" posing alone on the cover. I guess this falls under Hasbro's initiative to "reintroduce" the supposedly less popular princesses: Mulan, Pocahontas and Tiana (a new home video release for TPatF can't be far).

If they're starting this trend (which is quite surprising, wondering myself if anything new or archival is going to be added), they should consider Lilo and Stitch and The Emperor's New Groove since it will be an excuse to release it with extras this time.

Ugh... Wish we could just upgrade the edition we currently have to include a digital copy. I don't want to buy these all over again, but I really want the digital copies.

Why Disney uses this Pocahonta's clipart for all her products?...i don't like these new covers. I've seen better covers made by fans

that what i think this is, just repackaging the princess films to coincide wit the new Hasbro campaign. We'll probably get new covers for PATF, Tangled and maybe Brave as well.

I prefer these covers but if its just the same disc as the original blu-ray releases I dont know if its worth repurchasing.

btw, are these DMC exclusives? I dont see anything about them on amazon.

Just received my Movie Club mailer and both movies are the Featured Titles. Doesn't say anything about bonuses...I am guessing this is just a repackaging with new coverart...curious why Pocahontas has dvd copy...but, this is done to allow dvd copy to have extended version included..yet, I doubt they have included it on the blu-ray...I will def. be purchasing these due to not having them in their previous bluray editions; and I am happy those horrid sequels are not included.

That's why I have a sliver of hope that these might be different discs... Since they seemingly aren't indicating the inclusion of the sequels at all.

Same. This is my one ray of hope right now for this release. That, as well as the fact that I know lots of people voiced their displeasure on how the extended edition wasn't included and how most of the features were stuck in the virtual vault.

On February 9th, Disney re-issued several Blu-ray titles (with the same cover art and everything) only to add Digital HD to them including Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph as well the following Pixar titles: Toy Story, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, Up, and Brave.

After going through the discs, there is nothing new added.

Mulan is identical to it's original release in the 2-Movie Collection, even down to the menu. I'd guess to say it's the same encode because there's no changes at all.

Pocahontas however is missing the Virtual Vault, which doesn't work anymore to begin with. The menu on that is also identical.

So all in all, your only reason to buy these if you already own the other release is if you want the Digital Copy or don't want the sequels.

Those are actually pretty cool covers!

I still don't feel the need to double dip for these, but I do kind of wish that I held off on buying their previous Blus now.
