DMR HAS POSTED COMING SOON BLACKBEARDS GHOST ON DMC EXCLUSIVE BLU-RAY

A bit of unexpected, but excellent news considering the poor quality of the North American DVD release.

I guess Disney will be releasing these exclusives every month now?

Wonderful news. Blackbeard's Ghost is one of my all time favorite Disney films, and the DVD was so sub par.

I was going to ask what the pairing partner was for this release, but I forgot it will be the Aladdin dtv sequels 2-pack on blu.

nice, i will definitely, be checking this out! since, as stated before, the US dvd release was pure crap! i am still on the fence about re-purchasing some of these classic live titles on blu, because, of the lack of features (extras), the price, and the fact that the Vault releases still hold up fairly well.

One thing I am wondering is:
Are those new Blu-Rays that got recent releases Region Free Blu-Ray´s or just coded for the US market = A?

(it is surely written somewhere, but right now I have no time to search through many posts or threads)

I looked at the back of my copies of Davy Crockett and Escape to Witch Mountain. Both have the ABC logo, so I assume they're region-free.

Just double check with someone else before you order them.

I was expecting a large difference between the DVD and Blu-ray, but this goes beyond night and day. And I mean that in a good way.

Makes me even more excited for future releases.
