It seems like Stan Lee let it slip that there's going to be a sequel to BH6 in a new interview.
Stan Lee wrote:After Ant-Man, we’re going to start playing around with Doctor Strange, the Black Panther, the Inhumans, and then we have to come back for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Big Hero 6, the Avengers, Captain America…

Sotiris, you fool, you know that it's not true. It's just a huge misunderstanding and he will never make up a lie like that again.

The creators of the Big Hero 6 comic books talk about the possibility of a sequel.
Q: Is there going to be a sequel to Big Hero 6?
Steven T. Seagle: We're not at liberty to answer that question directly.
Duncan Rouleau: No, but if Disney was a smart company, which you don't know, they're kind of a starter...[laughter] It made close to a billion dollars for them.
Steven T. Seagle: Usually things that make close to a billion dollars, they make more of them.
Duncan Rouleau: But that's our best guess.
Steven T. Seagle: We know so much more than we can tell you.

The president of WDAS, Andrew Millstein, talks about the possibility of a sequel.
Q: Big Hero 6 was a film that audiences really loved, and it felt like the story was only just beginning. Is that something you’d like to further explore with another film?
Andrew Millstein: Yeah, if the filmmakers are interested in taking that further, without a doubt. It could lend itself to it. But it’s really up to them, if that’s something they want to do. They have to live with it for years, in that world, with those characters and with new characters. If they’re not interested in letting that world occupy their brain for that long, then it’s not going to happen. But if they’re interested in it, then it can happen.

The filmmakers of Big Hero 6 address the sequel rumors.
Chris Williams: Yes, Stan Lee announced a sequel a while back, as many of you know, but didn't talk to us first.
Roy Conli: If we find a good story, maybe!

It looks like a sequel won't be happening any time soon.
Q: Aside from the series, are you guys in any active development on a Big Hero 6 sequel?
Roy Conli: A lot of people ask that.
Q: Got to!
Roy Conli: Yeah. Don and Chris are working on a new project. We haven’t…We revisited it for a while and chose to kind of step back and let it settle for a while. It’s tough when you’re a director, because if you go in immediately on a sequel, that means you will be working with one storyline for 10-12 years, right? It takes four to five years to make these things.
Q: Right.
Roy Conli: They really have other stories that they want to tell, so they’re thinking that they’re going to take a little break right now and continue to work on a new story, and hopefully revisit it sometime. I think we all love it.

The upcoming TV series is sort of a sequel anyway.

How is it up to Don? First, he's not at Disney anymore—he was most likely fired for delivering two flops—second, even if it was an original idea of his, Disney would still own the IP and would not need his permission or input, and third, it wasn't an original concept of his; it was an adaptation of a pre-existing comic book.
Roy Conli wrote:You know, we're celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Big Hero 6 this year. A great movie for myself, Don Hall, and Chris Williams, who put that together. It's interesting because it is really up to Don whether he wants to make a sequel to that. It was Don's concept and idea. I always secretly urge him to do it, but we'll see. He loves working on new property. So we'll see what happens.

But it wasn't up to Musker and Clements whether they wanted to make a sequel to Moana.
This is just a diplomatic way to say it's not going to happen.
