Has anyone else watched the new show Wonderfalls?
It is amazing! So funny. If you've seen it, what did you think?
If not, check it out, Fridays at 9 on Fox!

I've seen both of the episodes that aired so far, and I love it. It's so off beat and sarcastic and definitely sets itself apart from other shows. I've heard, though, that Fox is thinking of already pulling the plug on it because the pilot didn't get good ratings. Well, duh, it won't if you air it on Friday nights which is when people go out to the movies, dinner, and whatnot. I dunno if the ratings were better when the pilot was shown again Thursday but if so, maybe Fox will move it to that slot.

I love Wonderfalls! It's my favorite new show of the season. I only wish that the smush-faced lion was in the second episode more. I really hope that Fox doesn't pull it as it did Firefly, my other favorite show doomed to the dreaded Friday night timeslot.
Jaye's relationship with the bartender is so sweet too. Especially when she tells him, "I may be clinically insane so you might want somebody more stable." and he goes "wouldn't be as interesting"

The reason not many people are watching is cause it's a confusing and pointless show. It doesn't make sense at most times and it's bloody boring to boot. I think they put it on the Friday time slot cause they knew few people would be interested. Sorry if I come across as rude, but I don't see much point in this show.

I agree with you Secret Disney Man I sorry for all the Wonderfall fans but I don't like Wonderfall. Wonderfall will be cancel in a couple of weeks do to the ratings. IMO.
Friday is the worst day of the week to put a show but Fox doesn't care if they loose Wonderfall because they still have American Idol. Why doesn't Fox movie Wonderfall to Wednesday or Tuesday to make AI fans interest in the show. Fox didn't do that because they want to put a stake on Wonderfall.

God forbid the television audience is actually forced to WATCH something. And worse, have to THINK about it afterwards. How dare anyone expect the average viewer to do such a thing!
Fancy the audacity of a major network station attempting to cater to more than the brain-dead zombies who sit obsessing over every detail in the more and more degrading and infantile reality shows that have taken over the airwaves.

My point is not that people are stupid, it's that this show is stupid. It's a dumb show that has *GASP!* Talking Inanimate(spelling?) Objects! Fascinating.
"See the wonder of it all."
I would if I could see the entertainment in this show.

Amen to that 2099net!
I've been arguing the merit of this show with my roommate since it premiered. He, like some of you, thinks it's pointless and boring (but I don't put a lot of stock in his opinion, he watches American Idol and wrestling). I strongly disagree, but I am not getting my hopes up becasue I know Fox is likely to cancel the show soon.
But for right now, I am loving this offbeat and creative show. I find it funny that some people are turned off about talking inanimate objects when we are posting on a Disney board(anyone else see the irony in this?). I guess this further reaffirms my belief that today's TV audiences have forgotten about suspension of disbelief which is why we are forced to suffer through endless reality crpafets and "ripped from the headlines, gritty, formulaic cop shows.
But, different strokes for different folks , that's what makes the world go 'round. I just wish networks could find time to service both our tastes because I think the world would be better if everyone could watch their favorite TV show.
I apologize for my rambling. Yay to those who have "seen the wonder of it all." Tell all your friends about it. To those who don't care for the show, well, we must respectfully disagree.
later all.

Hey!

I watch American Idol and I still love wonderfalls! I admit that most reality tv is stupid, but American Idol isn't! Simon's brutal honesty is amusing and some of the singers are very talented.
Anyway, it's nice to know there are some other Wonderfalls fans out there. Most people I talk to haven't even heard of it.

Sorry guys, I meant no offense to American Idol fans. Please don't hate me.

I just think that show is really overrated, but I actually saw a little bit of it tonight, and I really like Fantasia and Jennifer(I think that's their names). But i do the think the show is far too drown out and overexposed. I'm really tired of hearing about Degarmo or whatever her name is. I live near Atlanta and the local news and papers talk aout her all the time.
Glad to hear that you all are enjoying Wonderfalls though.

I love "Wonderfalls." It's clevar and smart and you people who find it boring and not entertaining should stick to your dumbed down shows. I reccomend to you "Playing It Straight," the new offensive reality series where a girl is trying to weed out the homosexuals amongst a group of men supposedly vying for her heart, and I think you people might also like "Cracking Up," the show by the "creators" of "School of Rock" with it's cheap gags and terrible plot and characters. To those of us who like smart shows, like "Arrested Development" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Wonderfalls" is awsome, and if you don't like it, don't watch it and don't bash it. Anyway, the real reason for this post is to infrom all of the fans that the show has now been moved to Thursdays, which will make or break the show. I have never seen "Tru Calling," nor do I know anything about the kind of ratings it receives, but in my experience, new shows on any network other than NBC don't usually do well on primetime Thursday night. I sure hope we see an increase in ratings, but the future looks doubtful. But maybe a DVD release is possible if all 13 episodes aren't aired. I think that if fans can get "Dinotopia: The Series" and "Celebrity Mole: Hawaii," which didn't have good ratings, it is probable that shows like "Wonderfalls" and "Arrested Development" could receive DVD treatments as well.
I would like to end this post by saying that I probably offended somebody and I am sorry, but I was offended by some of the other comments left about this show and if you don't like it, live and let live. The universe dosen't revolve around you, nor me. But at least I have respect for other peoples tastes and would never go onto a forum and bash something you care about.

Yeah, I noticed the schedule change after the sneak peeks for next week's episode. The way I see it, the move could be either a good sign or a bad one. The encore of the pilot was aired on a Thursday, so maybe the ratings were shown to be significantly better on Thursdays. If that's true, the move shows that Fox has faith in the show still. I mean, most people, other than me who has no life

, are not home and watching tv on Friday nights, so it makes sense that Thursday would have a bigger audience. However, there's a big down side too: CSI. Last I checked, it was on the 9PM Thursday timeslot. I'm positive Fox executives know this and aren't putting much hope in Wonderfalls beating out the top show on tv.
Either way, changing the scheduling after only 3 episodes is never a good sign. Too bad. I really wanted this to be the "little show that could". Spread the word on how cool it is though. Maybe it can still be saved.

Not only will go up against CSI but also The Apprentice.
As has been said, this will either save or kill the show. Everyone made such a big deal about the Friday night death slot, so I see the move as a sign that Fox is trying to save the show. The encore of the pilot did do significantly better than the first time around. I really don't think that Wonderfalls, CSI, or The Apprentice draw the same demographics for the most part. Here's hoping.
Last night's "sode" was great. I loved the "Presbyterian intervention." I'm beginning to like the brother a lot.
Best line: "Maybe she's a lazy whore. They can't all have great work ethics and a heart of gold."

Brer Brandon,
You bring up a very good point that I hadn't thought about. The other shows airing at the same time on Thursdays probably don't appeal to the same audiences. I now have hope for the show. I also loved last nights episode, but my favorite is still last weeks episode, "Karma Chameleon."

Yay! Next new episode is tonight. I hope ratings are loads better, or next weeks episode could be the last. Fox made an announcment that Thursdays will be "Wonderfalls" permanent night and the terrible reality series, "Forever Eden," has been put in the dreaded Friday time slot that "Wonderfalls" once occupied. Heres hoping for a miracle!

I really hope the new time slot will help it gain a wider audience. Though the show will be up against CSI and The Apprentice, these three shows cater to different audiences, so I don't think Wonderfalls will be hurt by the time slot. Even if the show does terribly, Fox will have no choice but to finish airing the rest of the season as all of its episodes have already been filmed.

DisneyKid,
Fox had ordered 13 episodes of "Wonderfalls" and all of the episodes have been completed fo a while now. Fox has only put the show on a 7 episode trial run. 4 have aired, so 3 are left in the run. After these 7 episodes, they will decide wether to keep playing the rest of the season. A lot of networks will cancel shows after only 4 episodes. ABC is a perfect example. In 2002, they canceled 2 of their new hour long series, "Dinotopis" and "Veritas." What is real puzzling is that "Veritas" was only a 10 episode show with one continuing storyline. The last episode they aired included a scenes from next weeks episode clip, even though they had no intention of airing it. That is why I haven't allowed myself to get hooked on any other ABC series.
