IMO, it's looking pretty good. It just looks good and has a nice style! Great work by the DisneyToon Studios CGI department.

boy i cant wait for this movie when it comes out to DVD. i just got to watch it. has anyone noticed a CGI Mickey in some of Disney Channel's openings before a show?

Wow, Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas looks awesome in 3-D.
Now I must pick up this one when it comes out on DVD.
I hardly can't wait to get it on DVD.

I'm sad to think that 2-D concept has died and think that Lickey in 3-D will never be the same as 2-D... A whole world is crumbling...

It looks okay for what it is, but I'd rather see Twice Upon A Christmas in 2D. Do you think they'll have some 2D stuff on the DVD as a bonus? The article said that they already had it in 2D, then decided to make it 3D, so perhaps they'll include both versions?

I'd rather see this in 2-D, as Mickey only looks good in the picture of him and the gift. The other pics make them all look like rejects from "The Nuttiest Nutcracker". This isn't crappy 2-D animation, this looks to be the 3-D counterpart.

But I love Mickey and love Christmas-his look has changed significantly since Steamboat Willie, but he's still Mickey, and nothing can change that.

The problem I have with this is not the fact that Mickey and the gang are in CGI, but that they have no texture. They're animals yet you don't see fur or feathers on them. They all look like plastic figurines. The article says, though, that you can see hair on Mickey, so maybe the pictures are just misleading, but I feel they're under-rendered.

I love Mickey, and I'm looking forward to seeing this, but... those picture look like screen shots of a computer game.

Maybe I'm just dense, but I only see 4 pictures in the first look. Anyway, it looks odd. I'm intrigued as it's new and interesting, and I liked "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas." Disney and Christmas are two of my favorite things, so it seems tailored towards me. But the characters do look unusual, of course, and who knows without seeing them in motion, how it will really flow.

In mine opinon a sequall to a 2D movie must be 2D.
But this is looking better than I expected.

This looks alright, but more like a video game than a movie. I agree that it's very reminiscent of The Nuttiest Nutcracker, which was good for what it was, but wasn't all that. (Bonus points to whoever knows what movie that line comes from ).

Luke, I'm with you, when Disney & Christmas combine, I start to get excited. Let's hope we're still excited afterwards.

There's no excuse for the sequel to a 2D movie to be 3D, though. I don't like that at all.

Just like I preferred Classic Coke to New Coke. Well actually, I'm a Pepsi man so I didn't really care one way or the other .....

Oh, back on topic. This looks pretty and all, but it just doesn't feel right. I cannot explain it any better than that...Mickey and friends, in 3-D, just doesn't feel right.

I'm with Animation Nation's opinion on this - it looks terrible.

Like others have said here, the character models look like plastic figurines. There's no texture, no life to them - they're just 3D models. Whoop-dee-doo. What's the point of animating a character in CG if it sucks all the life out? Oh, yeah - because CG is the shitz right now, according to the bean-counting suits. CG for CG's sake... shoot me now.
I almost don't have to see it to know that the motion itself will be stiff and alien - sorry to prejudge, but I'm not sure I'll even rent it.

Those quotes about The Heffalump Movie and the abominable Bambi and the Great Prince depress me to no end, Joe. Somebody has got to quarantine the sequel-itis that's ravaging the Disney company right now, before it's too late.

Well, I'll say again. Nobody knows what Bambi II will be like. It could be a thrilling and exciting film with an environmental message. It could be a touching and emotional film about getting over the death of a loved one which could actually help lots of children in similar situations. It could just be a celebration of life itself.

But I'll admit, its more likely to be average or below. But please, don't prejudge.

I have to admit to being a sucker for every Disney Xmas special, so I don't think this will be an exception.

The animation stills look interesting, and certainly doesn't suck as much as I thought they might. However one views CGI (and I am certainly not against it), cheap CGI can look REALLY dodgy. I guess the proofy will be in the pudding, but so far so good.

I hope those pics are just an early April Fool's joke. They are terrible... Walt... where are you?
