Frozen/Tangled/Little Mermaid Connection Theory--DISCUSS.

Post by Wiggles »

Okay... so, apparently this is the big buzz right now:

http://themetapicture.com/after-reading ... way-again/

While I completely agree with the Frozen + Tangled aspect, I think the Little Mermaid part is stretching it a bit.

Tangled and Frozen are not related. Tangled is set in 1780- Frozen 1840

Unless Flynn and Rapunzel found another golden flower, i doubt it.

And that bloody ship could be ANY ship !

Yes, they are.

Rapunzel attended at Elsa's coronation, as we can see in the movie.

I think it's a fun little theory. I think anyone saying "THIS ISNT TRUE" or "this is REAL" is missing the point entirely. Sure, they maybe weren't planned that way, or maybe they were! It shouldn't be anything more than a fun idea. Who cares if the dates don't line up perfectly or whatever... it's not meant to be taken so seriously.

What I like is the fact that this theory can even line up with the Tarzan theory too. So really it could be Frozen/Tangled/Little Mermaid/Tarzan!

Add the Princess and The Frog/Pinocchio/Peter Pan theory to this and we could start to think every movie coexist in the same universe

VERY good point! So, then, in theory, Disney technically made a big boo-boo in inserting Eugene and Rapunzel into Frozen. Interesting.

Rapunzel and Flynn - it's a cameo. Just a cameo. There is no connection to the Little Mermaid. It could be any old sunken ship.

It's bad my boyfriend (who is not a Disney fan but has grown some major lovin' for Frozen) noticed the Rapunzel/Flynn cameo and I didn't.
Settling Soul mates? That is grim. And I've played Monopoly alone.

Ehh, I didn't notice it either, until it was pointed out on the internet.

Again on Frozen, but concerning a different subject matter:

As a fan of Saint Seiya, I find this hilarious, even though I consider this to be nothing beyond a fortunate coincidence.

I'm just genuinely curious here but I must have missed where we find out what year they're both set in, where did you find that?

Heh, I saw that one floating around Facebook as well. XD Not really surprising, since the Snow Queen is a pretty well-known story that I'm sure many people have retold in one way or another.

Disney Wiki
The strictest answer: nowhere at all. The Kingdom of Corona, which is never actually named in Tangled, was not set in any historical place but takes place in the 1780s
Sorry 1780, not 1740 xD

Nah they're just doing the hidden cameo thing that they've done in past Disney movies before.

Isn't the final level from Wreck It Ralph in the chocolate confection at Elsas' coronation ceremony ? I in no way thought that made the two films connected ( ) just thought it was a fun Disney cameo, for the diehard fans to look out for …

And supposedly, there is a Mickey Mouse cameo in the film.

Yeah, they're just supposed to be fun little cameos. I don't know why anyone would take them so seriously either way. :milkbuds:

After all, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy not only live in Ariel's universe, they can breathe underwater!

Maybe they were on the same ship as Elsa and Anna's parents and they drowned? They're bodies could just be propped up there.

 This kind of pales when you've read the theory of how all the Pixar films "supposedly" tie together.
