The region 2 release of Hercules is pretty dire (worst than the DVD extra wise), at least the picture looks fantastic. Region 1 might get all the DVD extras if you are lucky.

I like those cover arts though! very smexy and much better than the giant Hercules head.

Is Tarzan the Mary Poppins of their animated films or what? How many releases has that thing got?

After all these years, Hercules finally gets a re-release. I still remember posting here in 2005 and thinking that *this* was the year. I was starting to think I'd never see this day. Too bad there's no chance of getting any bonus features. We'll be lucky if we get everything that was on the 2000 DVD (which I suspect will be the DVD included in the combo pack, sadly).

Hades not being on the cover is very, very surprising.

My mouth literally popped open slightly when I saw they had given Herc a new cover. I never thought I'd see the day!

Although, it IS weird that Pain and Panic are on the cover but not Hades.

well technically its not "new" b/c its still the same background. But at least Herc isnt Godzilla sized anymore...

It's not new by any means. It's basically the DVD menu

Well when I said new I meant new from the usual VHS / DVD covers that are being reused all the time.

I know which is why Im still happy about the cover. But yeesh, I sometimes wonder if Disney still even has a home video marketing dept. anymore.

I'd wait on that. I'd keep what you got because the bonus features might not be ported over at all even the very little that is on the Hercules DVD. For instance the Lilo And Stitch Blu Ray didn't carry any bonus features over and has none whatsoever on it. So Don't sell them yet.

What version of the Tarzan DVD do you Have?

I'm wondering about that Hercules cover as a source from DHE a year ago told me "Zero to Hero" was going to be bundled with it as another double feature release. I really hope they add the Michael Bolton music video finally!

Little too late for Tarzan for me, I've already picked it up on Blu from the UK. Between that and the original 2 disc DVD, I'm set.
