What is everyone's thoughts on the winners/losers of this year's Oscars? What did you think of the ceremony and Ellen's job as host? Post all your thoughts here!

1.I think that Ellen was okay as a host, but it was the comedy that fell flat (Did they really need to drag out that pizza delivery gag?)
2.I had a feeling either Gravity or 12 Years a Slave would take home Best Picture.
3.Not counting the Memorial or honorary Oscar, there were too many montages (some that were completely pointless) that dragged out the runtime of the ceremony.

I think last night's ceremony was the best in quite awhile. Ellen was great, especially with the group selfie and the pizza delivery. Glad that 12 Years A Slave took home Best Picture, it's such an important film that needs to be seen by everyone. It was great to see McConaughey win, and he gave a phenomenal speech as well. My biggest complaint was Leto winning over Fassbender. Michael Fassbender created such a despicable human being a la Ralph Fiennes in Schindler's List. I really felt he should of won. I'm really surprised by all of the negative comments towards J-Law. She seems like such genuine person that's so fun loving and just really enjoying life right now. It's so refreshing to see such a positive role model for aspiring actresses out there.

Overall, there were no real surprises. Happy for Lupita. Happy for 12 Years a Slave. SOOO happy for Frozen and Let It Go! The sets were on point. The background music was glorious. Ellen made Twitter history. No one's outfit was horrendously bad. I think the majority of people looked great.

This is quite of an improvment over last year when it comes to the host, Ellen was great as usual being herself and having fun with it, the memoriam was very respectful and quiet as usual, (I didn't know that the beautifully voiced Deanna Durbin who was one of the women considered to play Snow White had died) the awards and it's wins made me very happy especially for 12 Years a Slave, Frozen, The Great Gatsby, and Gravity.

Jared, Lupita, and Matthew gave really good speeches, plus the selfi part was really great.

Have you seen "Dallas Buyers Club"? If you haven't you should see it before complaining about Jared Leto's Academy Award winning performance. I love Michael Fassbender and loved his role in "12 Years A Slave", but Leto's performance in "Dallas Buyers Club" was far superior in so many ways.

Jared Leto's acceptance speech was rightfully criticized. So glad that the Hollywood "elite" feel a connection with the "dreamers" in Ukraine and Venezuela. I doubt the Oscars were really on their minds......glad Ellen said what she said after the fact.

I did enjoy the Dallas Buyers Club acting victories. So happy for Frozen and Let It Go. Loved the tribute to Oz and seeing all Judy's kids.

Then again, I'm a big fan of Fassbender, but I found him to be very believable as the slave driver. He disappears into what should be, and is, a reprehensible character, but brings some much needed vulnerability and spark to him. This keeps him from being a caricature, and keeps the film focused on the story at hand. Leto's performance is pretty damn great too.
