Favourite Disney Parks Music
Favourite Disney Parks Music
What is the favourite piece of either parade score, parade song, musical arrangements around the park, ride scores ….. any piece of Disney music featuring in the parks?
A special place will always be held in my heart for 'Chante, c'est Noel!' from my first staying visit at DisneyLand Paris. I'd been on two day trips there previously, but had never had the fortune of staying. I did in Christmas 2007, with my best friend and her family, for a few days on the 27th December. Probably one of, if not THE most magical trip I've ever been on.
I know they repeat the parade song constantly, but somehow it melts into the background when you actually get to see the floats go by. Just magical.

Re: Favourite Disney Parks Music
I love the turn of the century pop songs (And the Band Played On, Bicycle Built for Two, etc.) and Broadway/movie tunes (Wells Fargo Wagon, Meet Me in St Louis, Elegance, Put On Your Sunday Clothes, Flitterin', etc.) they play on Main St.
Also I love the film/Broadway overtures (My Fair Lady, Gone With the Wind, Oklahoma!, The Music Man, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Mary Poppins, etc.) they play on Hollywood Blvd at DHS.
I also adore the Disney classics they play in Fantasyland especially on the Carousel.
Baroque Hoedown from the MS Electrical Parade is also a favorite.
And I love the Swisskapolka they play in the SFR Treehouse in Adventureland.

I like this one:

It's so nostalgic in itself, it has pure "disney magic/essence" all over it.
Perhaps an overdose of nostalgia, but isn't that Disney's magic in a nutshell? The fact that at times it makes us feel like we're kids again?

Awww that was lovely!
I wish Disney would do more releases of their music in the parks. I really want the score to the Little Mermaid ride queue; all I have is an audio taken from someone actually in the queue, which isn't the same thing!

Re: Favourite Disney Parks Music
Mine's may not make much sense, but I will try to explain the best I can...
Hearing any of the instrumental versions of Disney songs when entering the Transportation & Ticket Center for the first time at the start of the trip. When hearing as I am about to board the monorail, just adds to the excitement as I am about to have a great time at Disney World.
I also like the parade music for Main Street Electrical Parade, and the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade, which unfortunately, ended its run a month ago.
And the theme for Fantasmic!

I totally used to rock out the Disneyland's short-lived Light Magic soundtrack back in high school. Now I just find it mildly grating.

Remove the "s" from "https" along with that &-tag, then it will work.

We can rock out to Festival of Fantasy in a couple weeks, hon.
As for my favorite park music, I've always had a soft spot for the area music in Main Street. They changed it a couple years ago to add some Up themes, but most of the recognizable tunes are still there. I have the one-hour loop on my mp3 player and sometimes use it for long commutes.

My favourite has got to be the "Soarin' Over California" score. Jerry Goldsmith did a phenomenal job. It's magic and home at the same time. :3

I loved the soundtrack from the Mickey Mania parade that I saw in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in the 90s:

Wow. They actually used the term, "rad dudes." Now I definitely feel old. XD

I listen to this on loop.

MeerkatKombat, I hope you don't find me rude in asking, but can you point me to the direction of a CD / iTunes / download somewhere that has the whole score? I used to have it years ago before I switched laptops, I've never found it since.
Thank you in advance.

Haha! I remember that parade vividly! I didn't appreciate '90s culture until after it had passed and nostalgia kicked in. At the time, I thought the parade was totally lame and wanted to see more princesses.Wiggles wrote:I loved the soundtrack from the Mickey Mania parade that I saw in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in the 90s:

I don't find you rude at all. You can get the medley on Amazon but it's not the same. I did once upon a time find the score on YouTube.
I know it's not ethical but I downloaded it via a YouTube ripper. The video seems to have vanished. PM me an email addy and I'll send you the tune. It's a decent enough quality
