Who wants a Return to Oz 30th anniversary blu-ray?

In 2 years Oz Great and Powerful is getting a sequel and Disney's original Oz sequel will turn 30, so i think it's time we all write letters to Disney to do a special 30th anniversary special edition blu-ray/DVD combo pack to cash in on the sequel to Disney's new Oz movie.
Afterall RTO has made a comeback in Epic Mickey 2 with Tik Tok plus at the Disney convention artifacts from both Oz movies by Disney were shown, the film has a big cult following and would appreciate a special edition BD with restored remastered picture/sound plus extras like TV spots, trailers, teaser, retrospective documentary from beginnings to becoming a cult classic, original 1985 making of featurette, audio commentary from writer/producers plus actors Fairuza Balk and Brian Henson and still galleries.
So how about it?

As an Oz fan, I would very much enjoy this.

When I saw it as a kid, I always thought it was the most terrifying film I had ever seen ! Filled me with sheer terror ... especially the room of heads (if I remember correctly). I haven't seen it since

Maybe I should give it another go.

I'd like to see that. It *is* a creepy movie but I did enjoy it.

I'm totally on board for a blu ray release. Slightly off-topic, but I just made a custom DVD cover for Return To Oz.

My god, that DVD cover is one of the best things I've ever seen. Certainly better than Disney's awful official artwork, and just a touch better than Anchor Bay's.
I'd love to see any kind of Blu-Ray for this at all, even if it just has the same old bonus features, although an isolated music track would be a nice touch since Disney hasn't seemed to see fit to reissue the score on CD or digital download.

Thanks!
Yeah, I totally agree. I actually own a copy of the underground work in progress print which is full of deleted/extended/alternate scenes which would be really amazing to see as special features. I was actually really surprised they didn't just throw it on a bare bones blu ray to cross promote Oz the Great and Powerful.

NOW THAT is the ideal cover for my ideal 30th anniversary BD!
And do you like my other additional ideal extras especially the commentary? yes the deleted scenes need to be there too.
Who wants Oz in Kingdom Hearts? i do as RTO was one of Japan's highest grossing movies of 1985 and very popular there. It should be based on the 2 Disney Oz movies featuring Brian Henson and James Franco reprising their roles as voices as in the game Oscar Diggs and Scarecrow are kidnapped as Sora and pals join forces with Jack Pumpkinhead to fight the Heartless in Oz especially Flying Monkeys and Wheelers then have Wicked Witch, Mombi and finally the Nome King as bosses. Patrick Stewart can voice Nome King with Tress Macneille as Mombi's voice, it would be interesting to see a world that combines both Oz films plus epic to see Nome King take a keyblade to his face plus you can summon Tik Tok,

The movie is very scary. So much so that I erased it from my memory and I had a hard time remembering if it was real or not.
Having said that I watched it again not so long ago and I must it is a very good movie. On par with the dark fantasy movies of today (late Harry Potter movies). On top of that it holds up VERY well today. If you didn´t know the year it was made you´d think it´s recent.
So my guess is that the movie was way ahead of time.
Here´s hoping Disney would release it. But I doubt it. This is like the live action version of The Black Cauldron: Disney wants to pretend it never happened.

What's their problem? they didn't want to release Nightmare Before Christmas originally but now they bought it back from Touchstone.

Nightmare did well on its theatrical release and even better on video, resulting in a big cult following. Return to Oz was a flop and it still only remains a fairly obscure movie in the Disney catalogue. Hence why they don't put much effort into its home video releases.
