From 2004 to 2011, ABC/Disney and Lionsgate Entertainment individually released all 7 seasons of Boy Meets World on DVD. So what's left? Well, with follow-up series Girl Meets World ordered to air in 2014, it seems like now would be a great time for the studio(s) to follow up with a special Boy Meets World - The Complete Series set, wouldn't it? Except nothing's been announced yet. However, stars from the original show have been telling fans via Twitter and Instagram that something upcoming is definitely in the works...and they're even shooting new bonus material for it! First up is the tweet this past Tuesday by Rider Strong ("Shawn"):

Then there's the Instagram post yesterday by Maitland Ward ("Rachel"):

In case you can't read that, she's saying, "Filming commentary for the #boymeetsworld special DVD box set coming soon..." Again, nothing has been formally announced by the studio at this point, so stay tuned and we'll keep you updated as further developments occur! Our thanks to several readers, including James Abel and a different "James" (who didn't supply a last name) for the emails about those posts.

Awesome. Im still bitter that they anounced those bonus features that ended up getting cut from the final release. I was so bad I actually stopped buying the series after the 3 season. Im glad I waited because now it wont be a double dip, and we should get all the bonus features we were promised before and then some.

As many of you know, two notable cast members of the hit 1990s Disney sitcom Boy Meets World shot material last week for a Complete Series DVD release.

Per this link at http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/Boy-Meets- ... tion/18855 Lionsgate Home Entertainment, the DVD owners of the show, announced today that the collection is coming to DVD November 5.

Here is some info on the show, for those few & far between who have never seen it.

Boy Meets World was a hit 1990s sitcom created by Michael Jacobs.

The show centered on 11-year-old Cory Matthews (Ben Savage), a typical 6th-grade boy living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his parents: dad Alan (William Russ), a blue-collar grocer; mom Amy (Betsy Randle), a typical 90s homemaker mom; teen brother Eric (Will Friedle), and kid sis Morgan (Lindsay Ridgeway).

Corys teacher at school was Mr. George Feeny (William Daniels), who also doubled as his next-door neighbor--a fact Cory did not like at all.

In September 1994, at the start of the 2nd season, Cory, his best friend Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong), and girlfriend/eventual wife Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel), entered 7th grade at John Adams High School; joining them were Mr. Feeny, the new School Principal & History Teacher, and their homeroom teacher, Mr. Jonathan Turner (Anthony Tyler Quinn), who the following Fall became Shawns legal guardian after his dad, Chet (Blake Clark), left him to find estranged wife Verna.

Over the course of its original 7-year run from September 24, 1993 - May 5, 2000, Boy Meets World featured plenty of notable guest stars--among them Candace Cameron & Hillary Tuck.

After its conclusion, reruns of Boy Meets World aired on The Disney Channel from 2000 - 2007, on ABC Family from 2004 - present, and on MTV2 from 2012 - present.

Boy Meets World was produced by Michael Jacobs Productions in association with Walt Disney Television and is Distributed by Buena Vista Television.

This has already been covered in this thread below, so perhaps a mod could merge them?
